Which would give you peace?

Life in prison without the possibility of parole or execution by your state's death penalty?

 

Neither one if it is me who has to serve the sentence.

Seeing as I have committed no capital crime punishable by one of the two above, why are those my only two choices?

I would get peace by being left alone...

 

If I were in that situation I'd try to figure out if my loved ones would rather visit me in prison or at the cemetery.

 

Fuck both of those. I couldn't handle either of them but if I had a choice it would be death.

 

Death 'cause then I'd be set free.

 

Death. Youll die anyway, and will be miserable spending life in the cancerous prison environment. Don't commit the crime if you can't do the time.

 

Death if by injection. Unless, of course, the prison had a really good library . . .

Ordinarily I'd say death and be done with it but Wa Bluska has a good point...how about life exiled on a remote island or some similar environment....with no other human contact.
It wouldn't take long to go completely batshit nuts and that could be interesting.

 

What would give me peace is if people would be willing to actually spend time looking into the alleged crimes before being so willing to take another mans life. You can't give it back. Once it's gone, it's gone forever. What if you find you executed the wrong man? It's no longer kill, but murder. And to imagine HIPPYS would support or condone such an awful act.
