About 2 years ago when I was somewhat new to opiates I had a bottle of about 100 30mg MSContin ER that I stole after my grandfather died. This was my first experience with opiates. At first I crushed a single 30mg and snorted it. Like most new users I developed somewhat of a dependence and a bit of a tolerance. I figured I would just quit when the bottle ran out since I wasn't able to resist what was right in front of me (Even though it was only a psychological dependence). When the bottle was half gone I was eating or snorting 150mg to get the same effect as my first time. By the time I had 20 left I was taking 250mg and only getting slightly buzzed. I decided I would take the last 20 all at once (600 mg) because I didn't know how dangerous it could be at that point. So i crushed them and took all 20 (600 mg) because I figured if 250 was only a slight buzz 600 would give me one last high before they were all gone. I was passed out on the floor for about 36 hours before I woke up. I don't remember much but I do remember not recalling why I was in such a state. I could barely move and thought that I might have had a stroke or something. I called 911 and spent 5 days in the hospital, 3 in ICU which I barely remember because I was still quite foggy. My liver had failed and both of my legs were numb. Eventually, after a moderate withdrawal I got feeling in my left leg back. Today my right left below my knee sometimes gives me pain and is somewhat numb. It feels like a Lidocaine shot that is starting the wear off, I have about 50% feeling in it. If I touch or scratch it it feels like a "skittering" pain underneath my skin that goes up and down my leg. I think that perhaps I had layed on it while I was passed out for an extended period but I don't know for sure. The doctor told me my muscles were so damaged that it's like a ran a marathon without any training. I've read a little bit and i think it could be rhabdomyolysis. Has anyone had this happen to them or heard of it? Will the pain or numbness eventually go away?

It kind of sounds like your mental tolerance was higher than your physical tolerance. I've got kind of the same thing going on in my lower legs and feet from diabetic neuropathy. I take Gabapentin for it which works fairly well. Maybe you could ask your doctor for some of that. As for how long it will last, who knows? If it's muscle or nerve damage it could be permanent. 600mg of Morphine at once is a pretty good dose. I've never heard of anyone taking that much before.

Yeah man, 36 hrs on the floor? You just made it by a hair, dude. 600mg of Morphine at once. Shit. It's like God looked at him laying on the floor there and thought, "Gee, what to do? He's too silly to send to hell, and I don't think he's ready for heaven yet, so I'll think on it." And after 36 hrs he says "oh well, I guess I'll give him a second chance."

yeah that's why us experienced opiate users highly recommend staying away from it, it's too fucking amazing sadly. And 600mg.. damn I'm use to quit A bit but I take 300mg orally non-crushed every 2-3 hours so not 600 at a time but the second dose is around 400-600mg feel as the build up, and lasts way longer than crushing so..
fuck, should of got some information, but luckily you got out alive and not brain dead.:2thumbsup:
