I have had an utterly bizarre experience with herbal incense, and I would like to know whether anyone can point me towards what it could possibly be, as, unfortunately I tore the cover off it. If it helps any, it was called "Captain America" and has the Shield on it. Apparently it was intended to have the same effects as marijuana, but I think I experienced a psychedelic trip. Strangely, my friend who smoked it with me was completely fine. Earlier today I purchased the herbal incense and smoked it. I began to feel utterly odd. Initially, everything became blurry, later replaced by water ripple effects everywhere. When I focused, everything looked normal, but as soon as I lost focus the water ripple effect returned. Later, it also seemed as if everything was blurring together, as far as I remember. When a friend stood close and spoke to me, I understood his words, but as I was staring at his face I experienced some sorts of depth of field effect. It seemed as if the room I was in changed shapes several times from rectangle to a square, and at times the room also appeared much larger than it truly was. Eventually, I began to sweat and feel as if I were burning. Not long after, I vomited. Later, when I attempted to sleep, I saw a variety of shapes and places. I do not remember exactly how vivid I was. For maybe half an hour or so, I had occasional anxiety attacks, believing that I was trapped to be in this state of mind forever. It all came to a sudden end, leaving me with nausea and a headache. Only the latter remains now. And oddly, I ended up with a craving for fruits after I returned to normal. I have always hated fruits. Does anyone know what this could have been or why I reacted to it in that way? It was completely unexpected, which explained the terror I felt. I took medicine earlier, containing dextromethorphan due to having a cold, but I only drank the prescribed amount so I doubt that is related.
There's really no telling what's in these incense mixes. There are a wide range of research chemicals that are used in these, mostly synthetic cannabinoids but the possibility remains that certain mixes could contain more highly psychedelic chemicals. Also the potency of these mixes is widely variable, so you could smoke what you think is a low amount, but really get a very big dose. How much of it did you smoke exactly? I've heard reports of hallucinogenic experiences from smoking too much of these mixes, and I've had mild ones myself. Usually it is caused by an extreme excess in dosage. If you didn't smoke a lot then either the mix was very potent, or it contained something other than a synthetic cannabinoid, or perhaps one that has more powerful psychedelic qualities. Really it's hard to say anything for sure because you don't know what chemicals are in the particular mix you smoked, and there really is no way of knowing unless you have it analyzed in a lab. If you feel comfortable enough in the future, try a much smaller dosage of the same mix and see how the effects compare and contrast to your previous experience.
It was about 3/4ths of a cigarillo shared between me and a friend, and I had a bit more. My friend reported a regular high. I will give it another try tomorrow, in a smaller dose, to see what happens. Now that I know the hallucinogenic is a possibility, it should be much easier to deal with.
That is most certainly an excessive dose. Try like, one hit. With most of the mixes I've tried that's plenty for a normal cannabis-esque experience.
Sounds like you over did some type of synthetic cannabinoid, unlabeled herbal blends are fucking stupid, it angers me that people can buy these chems from a shop that come with next to no information. In future before you buy a herbal smoking blend run the name through google & do a bit of research.
I have taken two hits, and it resulted in uncontrollable muscle twitches and feelings as if some pulses rushed through my body. Yes, I should have googled it before, especially as the herbal blend was suspiciously cheap. I best not take any of that again.
everyone reacts to substances differently, hence the reason your friend was "fine". please, do not smoke any of those herbal incense blends.. when i become a parent i will be more concerned with my kid smoking this shit than marijuana or other psychedelics..
I'm pretty new to posting things on forums, in fact this is my first time. So with that said, I'm looking to share a particularly bad experience I had smoking spice in hopes that maybe someone can relate. Real quick background, I'm a 25 year old male, I served time overseas and now I'm back to living a civilian life. About 4 months ago, a friend of mine introduced me to spice. I have smoked bud in the past and am not against smoking it to this day. When we first started smoking, the only effects I could feel were an extreme exhaustion, but I continued to smoke with him in hopes that maybe after a few tries the effects would be more like bud, besides, he seemed to enjoy everytime we smoked. Sure enough, after a few tries I started feeling effects like euphoria and extreme laughing episodes, literally, a few seconds after smoking. He and I usually smoked a joint of the stuff. Well I started to like the spice and bought some for myself for when I was home alone. At my house I had a pretty large bong, being that it was the only thing i had to smoke out of, i used that. Like usual, I was getting really high really quick, but after a few moments of euphoria, I would feel extremely depressed, and every few minutes, I would forget what i was thinking or doing or saying, it was getting very confusing, but I didn't put much thought into it, one reason is I genuinely couldn't remember long enough. Anyways, I woke up around 11 a.m. one morning after a night of drinking. I was still feeling drunk from the night prior, so I figured a wake and bake would be in order. This is where everything got strange. After i ripped a few bong hits, the effects took over instantly, but somrthing wasn't right, i was pacing back and forth in my room banging my hands together and rotating them around each other (i used to box) then, I felt like, I recieved, like an email, straight to my mind, I say email because for some reason I thought I could see the little envelope symbol for an email in my mind. It read, "hey, how are you doing". I didn't understand what wad going on, but I tried to answer, but for some reason, I felt like the answer I wad providing was childish babble. I walked towards my mirror and stared into my own eyes and said, out loud, "why cant I answer this?". I'm not sure what exactly happened, but I walked over next to my bed now, and sensed some woman in my mind, she was asking me what i wanted, and I replied to be happy, to which she replied, if you help me, I will help you, all the while during this dialouge, without me really knowing, I was spinning, clockwise, in place, touching the index finger of my right hand to the palm of my left. As soon as she said she could help me, I asked how, I stopped spinning, i was facing directly forward in my room, I gasped, I felt something go inside me and I had no time to control myself, I looked down at the ground and saw a green cirlce around me, that encompassed me fully, but I never saw it, I feel like I sensed it, and I was able to see the image in my mind even though visually there was nothing. I felt really strong and in a very determined fashion I headed forward in my room, but as i moved I snapped out of it for only a moment, I verbally stated, no I can't do this, and headed for my bedroom door, but I couldnt leave, i let them draw me back, and once back, I found mysrlf staring at the ground, visually there was nothing there, but I sensed more, I can't tell what it was. Here I stood though, and now, I could sense someone else. I tracked him with my eyes even, but visually I could see nothing and I stood no chance. I felt him move to me so fast and stretch both my arms out as far as they could go, I felt him on my neck, demanding answers to ultimatums, forcing me to decide. I couldn't hear these ultimatums, but I knew they serenity good, the lesser of two evils kinda thing, I tried to wait, but the longer I waited the worse the outcome. So I spoke, and what I said, I only felt partially in control of. First I said, life for all, and then freedom and then happiness. I felt now that this person was prying my arms backward, forcing me to bend at the knees and waist. It wasn't painful, in fact, I felt ok about everything that was happening. After I gained control of myself I wrote down as much as i could remember of the experience, but when I wrote down the initial question of, hey, how are you doing and read it back, I wrote, hey, how are you doing e=mc2xmt34. Im having a hard time convincing myself that I was just tripping, after this experience I contined to smoke in hopes that I would get some answers and just about everytime after something strange would happen. I'm hoping somebody has a similar experience or even some words of advice would be appreciated.
dude that was really hard to read. I think you were just tripping out hard from a substnce you cant identify, and that you should cut that post up into paragraphs if you have the time.
You have to be careful when it comes to collecting herbal incense. Different incense have varying aromas, and the aromas can effect individuals differently, especially depending on the amount. The trick is to find a trusted vendor which tests their products before carrying them. We do, and I'm sure we're not the only ones. Gas station herbal incense doesn't always carry the best of scents. This stuff is the craziest stuff i have tried i havent smoked or done anything for about 6 months got my hand on this took 1 hit out of a 1 bat...... And damn i had the giggles went to take an amazing shower got out took another it almost felt as you would at the start of mushrooms vision blurred and man my stomach hurt, Started feeling paranoid and like i was gonna throw up so just went in bathroom opened window drank some water calmed myself down.. Was a strange sort of trip almost didnt like it for little bit was really messed up off it decided to lay down turn on fan it felt really nice and got some amazing sleep.... Be careful when trying this i could of just had the effects i did because i have gone so long without doing any sort of drugs idk Just be safe guys...
(In response to jscout). That was really hard to read. When you have this much to say, try to break it up into paragraphs. You just tripped out and had a bad experience. I don't believe that it had any deep "meaning", and continuing to do it will probably just make things worse. A lot of people have had bad experiences with that spice shit. Maybe you should just leave it alone.
