I also thought about doing that when I was a kid. I would miss a lot of things, but it would be fun. I don't think I would want to live like that forever... maybe a year or two. Well, honestly I'd much rather live for myself, work hard, and be healthy than slave away serving others for money with fixed schedules, all to barely support myself until I snap under the monotone, repetitious life of a struggling middle class Amurikuhn.

There are no members. Just volunteers. You can become a full time volunteer which is basically a member. I emailed and they said come the 19th because they are starting a series of workshops. I don't plan on leaving if I like it.

Just checked Omfield's site. It seems pretty much in line with many of my values. I'm definitely putting this place on my watch list. Maybe I'll visit when I return to the US.
