This is a bit old, but never more relevant. I dug this up after feeling depressed about seeing a clip from a recent episode of N.C.I.S. Any reasonably intelligent person can see this show is a mouth-piece for US war-mongers. I don't watch TV normally, and though I've known about a certain amount of this shit permeating Hollywood, I've developed a bit of naive complacency about the level of propaganda out there... I'm afraid it's at an all time high. I have no guilt in copy/pasting important things...This shits important, peeps... ENDNOTES 69. Campbell, Duncan. Top Gun Versus Sergeant Bilko? I have an old book called "Once again about the CIA."It tells how they fund films. For propaganda. This guy is spot on.
Hollywood is simply the propaganda machine of the CIA. So is all corporate media. It serves to give people their views and opinions and tell them what's "real." Reality as we are born to see it is pure illusion.
Well, they try to getcha at a pretty early age these days, and I'm quite sure they've honed their technique over the years, but I remember playing with GI joe 's...the kind of thing you would think would 'indoctrinate' kids into a pro-military mindset.. You know what? we almost never played 'War' or Military stuff with them. we always made them do daredevil shit like jumping stuff in their jeep, making dangerous hang-gliders and throw them from the roof..stuff like that. we pretty much lost all the weapons n shit right away anyway lol But the there wasn't a violent cartoon supporting it then either, and war movies back then we thought were boring as hell.
They always try to give a message. It may not be propaganda all the time. But consciously or unconsciously they give a message.
