Someone had to start a topic about it... Pokémon is an... interesting series. It has some fighting, yeah, but no real 'killing' and the creatures actually seem to...enjoy to fight, but not as a way of causing conflict, but as a sport that make's them stronger. It's complicated to explain, I guess... What does other people here think about Pokémon? Personally, I think the bad guy of the new games, N, was a really interesting character, espesally since he question's WHY pokemon fight, just like I question why people like violence and that type of stuff (even in fiction) in genneral. I feel I can relate to him. How I wish I could have an N avatar on this forum!! I don't think i'm really a 'fan girl', like a lot of other female fans of his, though.:daisy: I just relate to him... Pokémon discussion isssss on now XD Also, what did everyone pick in Black and White, if you played? I picked Oshawott, but I wanted Snivy.....Why the heck did I pick Oshawott for?.....*shrug* I forget now....
The original pokemon red and blue for game boy (before even gameboy color) were awesome games. They were filled with puzzles, action, funny characters, and the story was good and the game was a good length. Plus if you grew up in the 90s pokemon was something very new. When it became huge with trading cards and movies and stuff...i think that just ruined the overall image of pokemon...Those first two games were great though.

The Power of One was awesome. Such a good meaning!!^^ I think Black and White are worth getting for the story, though. But that's my opinion, of course. I'm not really asking anyone to go out and get it, but it was like the first time they have had a REAL RPG story in a pokemon game, though. xD; It get's pretty deep, too...in my opinion.....

I'm replaying Black now. Silver was by far my favorite of the series and the first I played was Pokemon Yellow. I have heard a rumor there is going to be a Pokemon Black and White 2. That's right, the first main series sequel ever. Once again this is hearsay. But honestly, I think they are running out of ideas for Pokemon. Some of the Pokemon in white and black are just stupid. Ice Cream cones!? Gears? Not to mention a lot of the final evolutions are insane looking. I've had nightmares that didn't have scarier creatures in them. Still, I see myself playing them until they stop making them. -BlkBks
Yeah duuuuudde! I grew up with Pokemon like most of young folks here. the games were addictive, the card game was even cool - come one!, and the show kicked ass. Everything about Pokemon was awesome. I drifted away from it, but still find myself playing the games. So many hours spent playing Pokemon, bring back so many awesome memories! I love Pokemon, end of story
I want the box set to the old show, like the OG Ash with Brock and Misty adventures. That show was good times. I even liked the first movie. One of these days I'm going to find them and start tripping down memory lane. -BlkBks
