Just got my dreads yesterday. Took about 5 hours to do but all in all im pretty happy with how they came out. I also wanna no will the bald spots between the sections grow hair because it looks like I have corn rows from the front, lol. Thanks! - Collin
I think most people on here will probably think they look too fake, but don't worry they're plenty of dread snobs on here As long as you're happy with them. The gaps will fill out with time unless you really continue maintaining them, even then they should fill out.

my gaps have filled with fuzz, but i dont do any maintenance and have tonnes of loose hair. if you crochet/roll/weave/whatever, youll always have gaps
