    Hi

Have been practising Vipassana for a while now - i have come across a local course which is Free - that i may go along too

They say it is Mantra meditation based on Vedic teachings

This is new to me, would i be better to stay with Vipassana or does it all amount to the same end goal anyway ??

    Thanks
    Andy

Vipassana is Buddhist and Vedic is Hindu, I believe. In my opinion, I would stay within one religion and not switch around.

I would say just the opposite, take the class. It may be from a different religion, but all knowledge is worth having. You never know, you may learn something.

You can consider mantra meditation shamatha with object.

I would try both, and then continue to experiment with any new forms of meditation that intrigue you. The mind is something far too profound to look at through just one perspective.
