    My names cargo,
I live in Canada and have been working as a psychotherapist in the addictions and mental health field. I have a private practice but am seriously considering returning to university to become a high school teacher. Hopefully, i'll learn to temper my tendency to create ridiculously irritating run-on sentences!!

I have two young boys who constantly blow my mind at how amazing and important they are to me.
I'm struggling through the world's most amicable divorce from my high school sweetheart and wife of 14 years.
I have traveled extensively and can claim to have literally circumnavigated the globe from west to east
Some highlights of the trip include the Trans-Siberian/Mogolian railway which weaves its way from Beijing to Moscow via Mongolia and the Gobi Desert and Irkutsk (anyone remember playing RISK?)
Ive lurked for a while and enjoy the tone of this site.
I hope I can make a positive contribution.
Despite working in addiction treatment and prevention I am totally HARM REDUCTION focused and am personally a dedicated recreational pharmanaut"
I am certainly not here to solicit patients or preach or judge.
Perhaps I can add some opinions based on my clinical experience and provide some clinical evidence to support safe use.
If the mo:)derators would like to investigate or ask for some authentication, I hope they contact me and
id be delighted to provide it.

My current research has led me to become curious, both personally and professionally, about the status of research chemicals in Canada.
Ill scour the appropriate forums but if someone can direct me to specific threads of interest i would appreciate it.
I have extensive experience in drug testing with GC/MS and might be able to offer some opinions on this subject.
I hope this introduction was appropriate and thanks for reading.
Please pm to introduce yourself to me if you'd like
    Cargo

What fragmentation pathways correspond to the ionization of 3-metamethoxyamphetamine, and list their fragments in order of increasing molecular mass.

    Thanks, and welcome :D

    hi walsh,
thx for the welcome......and the hoop.
anyone with a subscription or access to the elsevier library/datbase can cut and paste an answer to that in 30 seconds LOL.
Alas, i dont have a worn copy of the Journal Of MS by my bedside.
Thats not where my experience comes from, i worked as clinician with a Canadian Drug Treatment Court. Which means I have reviewed hundreds of GC-MS results but more importantly worked with DTC participants 3X a week and got to know and learn from (and sometimes help) their real world experiences.
my opinion is that drug tests have very little therapeutic benefit but were required by opponents of the drug treatment court process as it was being implemented in my city in the late 90`s.
It was used to encourage honesty and was a potent motivator because drug use reports that contradicted the GC-MS resulted in revocation of bail for participants. Clients were required to report any and all drug use in front of our judge but were never penalized as long as they were honest...thus the need for the GC-MS.
The last thing i wanted to do was fuck up and allow a false positive with a struggling motivated and honest client in early recovery to land land them back in custody.
Nothings perfect, no drug test is. But what i saw was that clients had more success challenging `chain of custody`procedures than actual test results when they claimed false positives.
i think more people should be aware of their right to challenge this aspect of mandatory drug testing.
anyway, look forward to more discussions.
`Walsh, I know i didn't answer your question, but pls have a moderator contact me so I can authenticate my blabbering and maintain some level of anonymity.

Aw, that's okay you did your best :)

But really, you sound very knowledgeable on a topic I don't know much about, and the more social side of drug testing is something that I'm sure will be very useful to have around here!

    Hope you stick around :sunny:
