Its not a bad way to smoke! The hookah lounge I go to on occasion will put an apple head on instead of the normal metal or ceramic one for a couple bucks more, its supposed to keep it from getting to harsh after a couple of coal changes.

 

EDIT: Use the top of the apple to put your weed in so like take the little stick out and put your weed on the top (once the hole is made etc)
i just re read that post, to simply put it: Just make an L shape in the apple the top of the "L" is where you put the bud. Also if you find the apple smoke hot, you can add in another hole connecting to the bottom bit of the "L" so its a shotty hole basically and lets in oxygen.

I am a serial apple abuser, i still live at home and dad is a nazi. simple easy and good to dispose of quickly.

Smoking out of an apple does NOT i repeat does NOT taste good, infact its probably the shittest way to smoke imo. The smoke is very hot hot hot and also make sure once you start hearing a sizzling noise stop smoking, your cone is finished.

You dont need a cone piece of any kind, its useless unless you want to add one in that is legit. (DONT USE FOIL) Oh and dont pull to hard when you inhale because the weed will fall through. To empty the cone just blow through the hole where you inhale and the ash will come flying out. hope this helps and enjoy getting high. ps if youre not used to smoking pipe, this will get you ripped..

 

I like apples....

I don't think they're usually very efficient, I'm not sure why..... But they seem to take a lot of pot for the high you get.

If you char the apple, it won't taste so nice. Be easier on the lighter, touch the weed with the tip and let it go on it's own. A third hole also can make it smoother, if you like lighter smoke. You can also make a zig-zagging path, if you have time (and skills) and plug the ends with apple bits, so that the smoke goes a lot farther before in your mouth.
