Today started shitty (read corn flakes thread) and my stomach has been hurting all day. At first I thought it was because I drank a frappe from McDonald's, but now I'm starting to think that maybe it's because I ran out of Xanax last night and I think I'm withdrawing from it.... I have a headache, I can't focus and I have diarrhea from hell. I'm not actually prescribed them, but I used to buy them from someone for my anxiety, not to get fucked up though. I never took more than a bar at a time. This sucks
Welcome to the club!! Why don't you just take something to ease it.. Maybe some reefer... Or some smack?
I took it for about 4 to 5 months straight. I was buying them from an ex friend and was only taking about 2mg a day. 1 in the morning and 1 at night and it really helped my anxiety A LOT! Not to mention my old lady liked me better also because I wasn't so bitchy. I wasn't even taking them to get fucked up, and didn't feel fucked up when I did take them. I didn't really think I would even go through withdraws but boy was I wrong. I'm about to go get some ganja so hopefully that will help.
yeah man that is a lot. you could make them last longer and be safer from withdraw if you take them when you really need then like panic attack, or start being bitchy lol meth for anxiety? >.<
One bar puts me flat on my ass. The give alchoholics benzos when going through detox because they effect the same part of your brain. I remember this from "substance abuse classes" I've had to go to after my 3rd marijuana possession charge. A few beers (or drink of your choice) may ease your withdrawals. Probably won't do much for anxiety though, so Dr. Josh says to smoke 2 joints, have 2 drinks and post in the morning..... Good luck love, never fun but sometimes necessary.
Using a friend's prescribed drugs...taking pot to ease drug withdrawl...am I the only one who thinks these sound like horrendously bad choices?! The fact that you are having this reaction speaks volumes about taking medication that isn't prescribed for you. I'm not one for thinking doctors are gods...but there is a reason we have them. Maybe you should go and see one? If you need a medication for your anxiety (and honey, I've been there, and know what an amazing difference they can make), you can be prescribed something that is the correct medication, and dosage for you. That's how you can actually avoid these kind of situations.
I was prescribed it , but I dont' have insurance anymore or the money to go back to the Dr., but I'm on a waiting list for a local county insurance program. So until then I have to do what I have to do.
I woke up with just a bit of a headache, so far so good though. Thank you for your concern :2thumbsup:
Yes and No. Self medication isn't horrible IF you do the research. When researched you'll probably know more than the Dr. If you have questions, ask them to a pharmacist (again, they know better than a Dr). Obviously this didn't happen here and now there's an addiction/withdrawal situation. My doc's benzo script would have me taking them everyday...because he knows shit about anxiety and benzos and because it ain't him that has to deal with withdrawal. Thankfully, I had done my own research. I only take them as 'spot' treatment. Respect your Benzo's or they will own you.
If it weren't against the rules as HF, I'd call you an idiot. Instead, you should know that's what I'm thinking. OP, I'm pretty much feel the same way towards you. How are people really this stupid? Sometimes, I feel like we can't possibly be of the same specie. You know what bothers me to no end? People like you have no problem getting on government assisted healthcare to feed your drug addiction. Have some f'ing dignity.
Up yours and your sleezey 'oh, I'm avoiding the rules but you're an idiot' Maybe if you've ever had a doctor fuck you up because they knew shit about what they were peddling (and most GP's are just that, peddlers) you'd have a clue. How the hell is it idiotic to research what drugs you're on? Even if a doctor prescribes them, you should still know what your putting in your body. Or should we all just follow Dr's blindly? And wtf about government healthcare? Who the hell are you to jump to such conclusions. Geeze, I even live in a 'socialist' country and I always have and always will pay for my own scripts. That's just a douchey ad hominem. Enjoy your superiority, asshat.
I'm going to ignore the first comment. It may be a county program, but I still have to pay, it's just a sliding scale payment plan...it's not SSI! And my reasons are different than those that you acuse me of (another reason you should ask more questions before you make accusations!) I would never apply for SSI because I don't need it. I could fuck the system over and get food stamps too, but I don't because I am not some piece of trash that does that kind of thing. I think before you start putting labels on people you should ask more questions
