the night brings my thoughts alive- by me rainbow (ashley)

a kiss of love, a ray of sun
but at night is when the best time comes
i sit alone, high as a kite, and watch the stars as they fly by
i think of how this is not real, and how the sky is a picture
i wish i could fly, among the stars, and make friends with one
i love to feel, to hear, to see.i see the rainbows the earth can bring
and when i see hate, i remind myself,
that there is still good things in this world.
the world, full of animals, animals that can be my friends
i want to save them all, all from the human race
how can humans be so good, yet bad? they bring lov,e but i dont understand
how they can be so waste-ful, so greedy, so mad
so ugly, and greedy, and dirty, and bad
but i've been bad to, and that doesnt bother me
because i make it up with the good things i do
at least i try to do good things, i think
and now i go back, and look at the night
i hear bugs, and wonder, what's their life like?
why does noone cry when they kill bugs?
well i do, every single one, i cry when i step on a snail, nad i pray for it, and i kill no ants which are raiding my kitchen, i welcome them with love, because they are guests in my home
and then my mom kills them, because "the just like to roam"
    "they are meaningless" she says
    so i yell and cry
why is it noone crys, when spiders die?

    - i'm not good at poetry, but hell, i wanted to write. poetry is good for my soul. because there isnt any boundries, just thoughts

It's no wonder we mistreat animals and all the other species that share the planet with us. If we're incapable of respecting and supporting each other, how is it possible then that we might respect or support nature? Never lose your sensitivity to the suffering and lives of other things. It's at least a start to improving our world. Write on!

But In Fairness to Nature It Self, I Must Say: The Tiger or the Shark would not shed a tear as they rent your flesh, nor would the Elephant spare a second glance at you, were you on its Path and beneath its Feet. If ever one is actually forced to Survive in Nature, they will find that she is as amoral a bitch as ever there was.

Bless Her, that is Infinite Space!

i know they wouldn't care about if we died,l but i dont think they have to. they do not kill as many humans as we kill animals/other living things, and many of them would do it because they don't realise it's wrong, or see that we matter. we seem to be taught at school that eating meat and killing animals is normal. or at least that's how it was at my schools. we consiously know what we are doing is the result/causing mass murder of other living things, but many do not care.
