Mine certainly does. Psychedelic music puts him to sleep and the blues livens him up, mainly Howlin' Wolf.
Depends on the music, there's some he hates and some he could care less about. He's not really interested other than that. Erin the crow, on the other hand is very interested in music. She prefers Native American drumming and flute or relaxing new age Celtic stuff that has nature sounds with it. She's always looking inquisitive when I'm putting in a new CD to rip onto the hard drive... almost a "Am I going to like this? What is it?" There's one song by Richard Searles that has crows in the background... One day I was in the kitchen and she was in the other room singing those parts. Not answering those crows in the song but actually singing in time, so she has it memorized and sings her parts. The cats could care less except for Lil'Boy who is deaf... He is interested in my Guitar amp when I'm playing because he can feel the vibrations.
Not sure if this dogs really listening but it sure seems like it loves it.http://www.jokeroo.com/videos/animal/dog-loves-guitar.html
when my sister and I would be jamming out in the car sometimes my dog Lucy would start howling with us
Billski dog doesn't seem that fussed to be honest. When I move house I will be learning Alto Sax so maybe I should look into 'doggie ear muffs' before I move?:sunny:
My dog is terrified of my banjo, but he seems to be relaxed when I play my guitar. He is indifferent to recorded music as long as there are no doorbells, alarms or canine howling included.
I like to sing my dog asleep, she seems to like it a lot rofl I also love when I put on music and dance. She'll get up and dance with me and let me grab her paws and everything. Happy music makes her happy.
sorry to say my whippet likes christmas music.but he is learning his first concert at 6 months was joan jett and the blackhearts and the band held up the free concert to stop and play with him.
My one cat definitely does. And she has strange tastes too. She loves most metal and punk; but gets irritated by very disjointed music. Our dog mostly seems to just like if we sing to it.
My old man cat likes me to sing to him, and he generally doesn't seem to mind much music I put on, but he does not like my clarinet playing.
My dog likes someone to sing to him and will join in, which is cute. He will also watch tv if there is another dog on the screen
not mine, i dont have animals now, but this little fella really loves dancing to music presenting this years winner of britains got talent, pudsy...........:2thumbsup: once had a cat that would cover her ears whenevr elvis got put on the turntable before walking out, clearly had no taste. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KH7viWp5KrE&feature=related"]Ashleigh and Pudsey - Britains got talent 2012 Semi Final - YouTube
My dog doesn't notice recorded music but she loves live music. I used to take her to my friends band practice when she was a puppy. She w as crazy then; nothing could calm her down. Yet as soon as they started playing she would lay down by the drums and watch everyone. She likes it when I dance too.
My dog doesn't pay much attention to music, but I had some pups when I was younger that loved to howl along. There was one who went crazy when I played piano, and another who'd get wound up if I played certain cds. My iguana is an avid music fan though, she loves Pink Floyd most of all. She looks at the stereo and sticks her tongue out, it's the lizard version of a smile. She's also a lot more into the TV than the dog is. I don't understand why she enjoys football so much, but I put the game on so my iguana can watch it.
My dog despises Jethro Tull. She doesn't like flute music, as I found out when she used to maul me and bite my hands and flute and howl every time I practiced it. Other than that, she doesn't seem to mind much. She'll come lay down with her head on my feet and nap while I play guitar as long as it's something mellow.
