people here already have the internet..... sometimes the phone people ask for us to do a search...no problem....but searching and posting a google answer is not what this site is about....specially if it pertains to someones medical condition

    you know who you are

I don't have any context here, but I will say that asking medical advice from the geniuses at hipforums is a recipe for cholera.

I don't know about the OP, but I kind of appreciate it when someone suggests a book they "haven't read themselves, but have read others in the series",,which is what they said. I think that poster had a valid suggestion.

If an author is known to have published helpful information that one has personal knowledge of, and has published another book that they haven't yet read, it seems no great sin to suggest someone could read that book. It sounded helpful to me.

It's like saying that a certain builder has built homes before, and his homes are well-made, and the poster has lived in one of his homes himself, though not the one in question.

Or when a car manufacturer has designed a new car, and someone says "I've driven so-and-so's cars before, and they've always been dependable and well-designed, though I haven't driven that particular model."

Wikipedia and Google will eventually merge, and form Giggle, or Wiggle, or Gippypedia, or Woogle, or Wiggle-Waggle,,,,

People of my generation have learnt a considerable portion of what they know because they decided to do a Google search. People lacking general critical thinking skills have a lack of filters and so can find internet bullshit and then reproduce it as if it must be fact simply because it's on a website. These people are called morons.

For the rest of us, talking about things we learnt by searching on the internet sometimes is not only valuable but pretty much inevitable.
