Hey guys I have a quick question for you concerning a new recipe that I want to try I have been wanting to try to make some Pot Hard candy but it calls for a Marijuana tincture which normally takes 8-10 days of storing the pot in some high percentage alcohol. Being impatient I did some more research and found out that you can apparently also make a tincture by heating the alcohol along with the pot close to boiling point. Apparently both ways work but the longer way is prefered because the alcohol can catch on fire if you dont watch it enough.. As a responsible adult i feel like the temperature could be controlled though with a thermometer and a water bath to heat it. Has anybody ever tried this whole experiment?
From what i know, the heating is only a catalyst. It will speed the process, but you should still let the mixture sit for a long time. Ideally to make good green dragon you want to leave it in there upwards of a month. I would say do the heating and then let it sit for a week or two.
