DMT suicide & hospital death

I live in a town that doesn't seem all that sketch on the exterior. But word around the campus is some kid ate some dmt and some pills, then went outside somehow ended up downtown and blew his brains out in front of city hall. No media coverage ever happened and i can't find anything on the internet. Ive heard from different people that don't know eachother, with one of them saying he saw the mess soon after the incident. I also heard of another incident from a person I know wasn't lieng that works their, about how a young woman came into the er with lung issue, and the doctor's called the police because they thought she was a crazy drug seeker, she got hauled too jail and allegedly died their soon after.

 

I just think it's kind of weird how every time i hear about something horrible happening its not from the news but rather from people in the community..

 

Eating dmt would have no psychoactive effect whatsover. Unless it was some sort of an altered form of dmt I'd probably dismiss the story as rumor.

Just did some research and theoretically it would be possible with an MAOI, but where the hell would any college kid any of that sort off thing. Also could be college kid bullshit lol we have 9 colleges two being HUGE universities, all packed into a town of under 100,000. So rumors can circulate among huge groups of people that dont know each other. But that's just what I heard, and as far as the girl with lung issues, i know 100% that happened. The DMT incident I heard of from a shit ton of different people, so idk it may not have been dmt that caused it but thats' what everyone said.

 

Thats not exactly what happened. I don't feel comfortable sharing the exact details it was real fucked up though it's the was dmt and a gun, small details are irrelevent but the result was the same.

1) ER doctors don't call the cops just because they think you're a drug seeker. They just won't prescribe you drugs. Do you have any idea how many drug seekers ERs see? Asking for a prescription isn't a crime.

2) If the ER docs thought she was just mentally ill, she would've been taken to a psychiatric hospital or put on suicide watch if they thought she was suicidal. They can't haul you off to jail just because you act weird in the ER. If they did that 1/3 of the pts in an ER would go to prison. You'd have to be waving a gun around or doing something illegal in order to get arrested.

3) You can eat DMT and have it be effective if taken with an MAOI--what do you think Ayuasca is? MAOIs are found in nature, (B. caapi) not just in prescription drugs

4) I don't really get the point of this post...are you trying to say that DMT makes you suicidal? Most people I know who've taken it are usually so incapacitated during the trip I don't see them doing much traveling. Also if you smoke it it only lasts a few minutes, and if you eat it (ayuasca) you're probably going to be barfing for a few hours, not running downtown shooting yourself. That sounds more like a meth problem...

 

I believe the second story actually happened. (might be two different stories but i heard of something like that happening recently)

If someone blew their brains out in front of city hall, it wouldn't be something that would go underground and surface in rumors.

I doubt it was DMT... Maybe... Maybe through the grapevine it suffered from the "telephone" syndrome and the true drug was actually PCP. Or Datura? :|

Plus, @ the OP, do you really think something like that would NOT make the news? Hell that would be national headline news not to mention how the anti-drug campaigners would be all over a story like that like stink on shit, especially with some "new" and "exotic" drug like DMT.
They certainly have no problem turning obscure, small town incidents with RC's into national headlines, don't you think something like a suicide in front of town hall would be right up there?

This sounds like one of those crazy LSD myths revamped to fit with DMT. I would say that you would DEFINITELY see that on the news if it happened at all (unless they were a minor, but I doubt it). The news also LOVES to make psychedelics look bad, so that's an other reason why I didn't think it happened. If somebody dies on psychedelics, they quickly blame the drugs instead of the person stupid enough to take em and kill themselves while on it. I just find the stories lacking evidence, and they sound like the classic: "My *blank's* (friend, friend of a friend, daughter, cousin, family memeber etc.) jumped off a *blank* while on *blank*" Now, I'm not saying that it doesn't happen, I'm just saying it sounds almost written down every time I hear it.

I'm ready to guess you live in a pretty boring town (no offence) but usually in a boring town where nothing ever really happens, people tend to make up stories. Just sayin'

 

Seconding what others have said here. Yeah, ahem, I've heard a lot of things in my time too. All kinds of things. You know, things like LSD will make you feel like you can fly and you'll jump out a window. Things like LSD cleaves chromosomes and creates mutants. Things like reefer is smoked by blacks who want to dominate and rape white women. Things like some girl took a huge dose of acid and thought she was an orange - never came down. Things like . . . . . well I presume you get the idea.

Now, the current bizarre stories of ultra-violence potentially fueled by stimulant class RC's . . . . who knows, . . . . tox screens take 6-8 weeks. Time will tell, and then again maybe it won't.

I don't know about you but one central message I'm getting slammed home again and again by the molecule is always always always, in every matter of perception, thought, etc. be more skeptical and more open minded than ever before. Trying to balance these two can be tricky, but I think in this particular case (original post) I'm going to put my chips in the skeptical pile.
