just got off felony probation and started doing shit again............stole a 750 gold necklace from a jewelry store, being charged with 2nd degree retail fraud and concealing stolen property 200-1000 i was 110% cooperative with the cops, told them i had a problem, the detective said "u dont fuck me i wont fuck you" got me booked and arraigned in less than an hour..... released me on personal bond 5000$ any ideas what might happen?
Well ripping off a jewelry store is pretty much karma coming back to them. I went and cashed in a gold necklace when gold peaked, and one jewelry store I went to had the same gold necklace (exactly) for 4 times the price I got. After I brought that to their attention they didn't want to do biz with me. So now you know the kind of rip-off Jewelry stores are with a markup of 200-400%, esp, on a commodity like gold.
Sorry, I in Uk so do not know much abt US Law but I wish you well and do hope things work out for you. x SKIP - well I will say that Gold prices are high right now. Just last week took some scrap gold here to sell. One store offered something, D went directly opposite to 2nd store and received an offer that was some 170% better. Ho hum, maybe a good idea to 'shop around' right? BTW, so pleased I joined this site - you should be real proud - hope to become a 'supporter' soon x:sunny:
holy shit dude use your brain. I cant really say much, ive gotten caught stealing from wal mart and then tried it again 2 months later at a different store. The second time i was not going to jail, when they stopped me i fucking bolted and pulled some adrian peterson shit when they tried to tackle me. I learnt my dam lesson, and maybe you will too this time around. you should just take off to another country. they wont follow you over a dumb charge like theft.
Not trying to sound like a dick, but i mean i have a job in which i only work 15-25 hours a week, and i can still somehow fund my Cannabis and Oxycodone habit. And by " Habit " i mean an 8th of good tree's, and maybe 2-4 Oxycodone every 2-3 Weeks. If you actually have the need to steal in order to obtain funds for your shit, you should probably dedicate your stealing time to job hunting, and work legally, get paid, and skip all the jail time. :afro:
lol, u call that a habit, wow..........I COULD FUND THAT "HABBIT" RECYCLING CANS AROUND TOWN, LOL OR MY SON COULD LOAN U HIS ALLOWANCE, LOL
An Oxycodone habit would be more along the lines of 2-3 80 mg tablets PER DAY, every day. OP: We can only help you if you let us know the "background" information, like what led to this. Do you have any diagnosed mental disorders or previously treated drug addiction problems? These are the things we need to know.
Yea dude it doesn't look too good. If you just got off felony probation and caught these new charges, here in florida you would probably get a few months time, but with a lawyer you might get away with 2+ years probation. I would think it would be similar in Detroit, you may need to get a lawyer to avoid doing a bit of time. Doesnt have to be an expensive lawyer, anythings better than a public pretender. Be safe bro
?? Spens.. i think you may need to go back to rehab. I dont want to sound like your parent, but dude, why did you steal jewelry? to fund a painkiller addiction? straighten up man, think about spending the rest of your life in and out of prison..
Kinda fucked up that bail was so much more than the actual damage. I can see a thousand or fifteen hundred, but five is fucked. You might be in trouble-since you've already cooperated you might as well keep it up. See if there's a drug court or something that would apply to theft motivated by addiction, that you could take instead of a real trial? If you completed probation succesfully it shouldn't count against you as a second offence-but they may not cut you a very nice deal. What smokinIVXX said. Let us know.
the charge before was a REALLY FUCKED UP CHARGE, basically they Chris Hansend me, but i got a good attorney and got the two real serious charges dropped, didnt have to register as a sex offender, did 3 years felony probation, this time im not so lucky even though its only a misdemeanor
Cool, OP. I am glad to hear things are looking up. I would hook back up with that good attorney that you used last time! He or she sounds like they know their shit. Good luck.
