I just throw my last plastic bottles away and other stuff will follow.... watch the whole thing: PLASTIC PLANET. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RiJxFhI3u7w&feature=related"]Plastic Planet in english by Werner Boote - full 1hr35min - YouTube
In this plastic world our bodies get completely contaminated with BISPHENOL-A http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bisphenol_A
LOL Just had a bunch of canned soup bought actually. I also drink store-bought gallon spring water all the time, since the tap water here sucks and we have no good filter. I'm actually a health freak. I have started making sure I don't eat stuff with MSG. I also take vitamins. I stopped using shampoo, since it's been bad for my hair. And in the future when I buy my own food with my own money, I intend to only buy organic. What can I say? One can minimize health risks to a certain extent, but we'll never be clear of hazards. It's just a part of life. Yeah, we should definitely send a message out to corporations. If the industry just switched to hemp plastics, then there wouldn't be any problems at all. But unfortunately the reality is the way it is. And not everyone has the money or resources to home-cook all the time. I don't in my situation, besides mashed potatoes or rice. Other than that there's sandwiches, cheese, some vegetables, fruits, and canned soups. I'm actually the one always asking for canned soups. hah Progresso has the least preservative crap. Same with Campbell's Select Harvest. And as I said, gallon spring water is the only way in my situation. At least I'm not getting fluoride or other crap. It's times like these I'm glad I smoke cannabis, though. Because not only does it get me high and help me in many areas, it protects my health as well. It lessens any health risks I'd have from coming in contact with the crap that's around in this world. And I really hope that at some point in my life I get to take it in oil form, since that has properties which actually cure many cancers and diseases. EDIT: Type 2 plastics are very unlikely to contain BPA, which is the plastic type for the gallons of water I use. Also BPA is poorly soluble in water. So at least I'm a bit safe there. Not sure I'll watch the documentary, though. A bit afraid. haha But also very tired. Still, knowledge is power, and it's always important to inform people of the truth. I'm always truth seeking on many subjects. At the same time, I'm going to continue eating canned soups and drinking from plastics.
Watched it, damn subs! You can't trust these corporations even with BPA free and Bio-Plastic, they replace the toxins with different synthetic additives and don't tell until they are exposed. They'll tell you it's hemp or corn oil and omit their "secret" chemical processes. Like the video says, the plastics already made will poison us for the next 500 years. Hopefully the next "healthier" generation will actually be healthier but slim chance with our crooked nature. We're pretty much at the mercy of some lying corporate scientist not giving us all cancer or sterilizing our children.
I'm used to subs but it's really too long. Anyway, I generally pour it into a glass first so no worries here
