How much do you sleep?

    It depends on the quality of my sleep.

    I sleep 8 hours in night I know it's more than enough and must to live a healthy life. Sleep is a natural Allah gift to be relax and when you awake in the morning you feels fresh and healthy with no tension so sleeping at night and awake on time reduce your tension and makes you healthy.

    the much hyped growth hormone that lets cells stay young is produced in the early hours of sleep, not when one goes to bed late.
    That favors early sleepers.

    I generally tend not to sleep enough, I often got to bed about 3am and it takes a good 3/4 hr to get to sleep and then im back up at about 7am

    I sleep a solid 8 hours every night. I like my sleep. Until lately, I've always been a night owl. I could never fall asleep before two and I hated to get up in the morning. Now I'm pregnant and I fall asleep at like 10 every night. I wake up with a lot of energy and my energy levels drop at night, whereas pre-pregnancy I was the opposite.

    I read an interesting article a while back that said there is growing proof that before electricity, many cultures slept in shifts. They would fall asleep when the sun went down and sleep for a few hours, then get up for a couple of hours and read or write or visit with neighbors, then go back to sleep for a few more hours.

    So if any of you guys have a problem with waking up in the middle of the night, blame it on your ancestors :)

    Sadly I only get around 3 to 4 hours of sleep a night.

    Not very much, i go to sleep around 3-4am sometimes later and get up at 9am..i survive of energy drinks during the day lol

    i need about 9 to 9 1/2 hours to feel rested. i usually get that on the weekends, and about 7 1/2 during the week.

    if I sleep less than 7 hrs I feel bad!

    i try and get near 8hrs most nights but feel better from 5 hours sleep

    So many people want to sleep as little as possible so it effects directly to their real life. Sleeping too long and sleeping too short is harmful for everyone.

    I agree that more and more people sleep less than what they should, but certain people physiologically need less sleep than others.

    for the past few months i've been sleeping 2-3 hours TOTAL (4 if i'm lucky) every 24 hours.

    I love sleeping but since I like being awake a lot too I generally don't get my 7 hours. This usually means I sleep at least one day a week until halfway the day.

    I haven't slept AT ALL since I posted on this thread. I think I jinxed myself. Hopefully THIS post will reverse it. lol

    Oh my god I love sleep!

    Ideally I like to get 8.5 hours, and if I could, I would go to bed about 12.30-1am and wake up around 9am. Since I have a casual job atm, a lot of the time I can work with those sleeping hours - I love it!

    If I don't get enough sleep I get seriously cranky and clumsy. Some people can function with a lack of sleep, but I seriously can't.
