I'm remembering something someone told me once about a theory regarding past lives. It was in response to the question of how so many people can think that they are the reincarnation of the same person - Say Marie Antoinette, or Napolean, for examples. The theory went something like this: All of us are made up of many pieces of soul energy - kind of like individual drops of rain that fell into the same body of water. In this analogy, death could be looked upon as the body of water drying up and being evaporated into a cloud. In the cloud, each and every one of those individual water droplets would mix with other droplets evaporated from different bodies of water. They would eventually fall to Earth again but not necessarily with the same droplets they shared the first body of water with, and not in the same location where they fell the time before. That was supposed to be the explanation of how hundreds of people can correctly claim that they were Marie Anoinette, Napolean, etc. in a previous life. I hope you were able to follow this. It was kind of hard to come up with the analogy.
honestly, I think that the main reason that people think that they were napoleon, etc. is cause they're insane
While that might hold true in Psychiatric circles, it doesn't necessarily hold true in Psychic circles.
thats an interesting concept Aerianne. my thoughts are that there was only one napoleon, marie antoinette, joan of arc etc who were made up from the genetics of their ancestors as are we all, so yes, while i like the analogy of the drops of water theory, i'd like to explore that we are many parts of our own former ancestors memories ourselves. of course if way back we were connected to the famous names for example above, then there would be a little of them in us. haven't explained this very well sorry, hope you understand what im so clumsily trying to say. i have more belief in someone who in a past life was someone ordinary, because thats who the majority of us are, just ordinary folk who have lost the ability to see back into the past. a great friend of mine was regressed back into a former life, he was an ordinary foot soldier in, if my memory serves me right, the crimean war. the experience of regression was a hard thing to bear, he spoke of it once and never again. i take from his silence on this that he saw many horrors and maybe had a traumatic death at that time. appear to be rambling here so will stop.
I think I understand what you're saying. It's true that genetically we are made up of our ancestors. But what about their soul energies? That's a really interesting thing to contemplate. In going through my family tree I see so many birth dates repeated over and over through the ages. I wonder if it's coincidence or something more. The odds that those dates would keep repeating randomly are low. Do we keep reincarnating within our biological families? I believe that we do reincarnate as soul groups. Sometimes family - other times acquainted some other way. I find it all really fascinating.
i believe that soul energies are familial, although............... sometimes we have a very strong soul connection in this life with someone very close and much loved and that could also be true from a previous existance. i know that i had a very strong soul connection with someone in a past life and that i met them and had the same in this life too. as you say a fascinating subject to learn more of and explore. will be interesting to see what Rick comes up with on the other thread.
Aerianne... Have you ever heard of soul shatter? It's something that happens as a result of a trauma or multiple traumas. Little bits of a persons soul leave the body and the person goes through the rest of their life, hollow, unable to do things they use to do, blank spots in their memory, etc. Shamans have healed these people by going into the afterlife and recovering these shards of the persons soul and reuniting them with the person. (That is if the person was lucky enough to have a shaman around) I would guess it possible that in the people you have mentioned just prior to death, soul shatter happens. They were traumatized before the actual death.
To understand and to access your own past lives and soul energy is to remember any life form will transmute knowledge and information through their known reality and perceptions, first in the mind. The key to opening this awareness, knowledge, and information is to learn to give the mind something to do while the brain processes the new information you seek. This takes one out of the ego, need to control and emotions; helping them to go deeper into what is possible. What one imagines they can easily forget. What one experiences leaves a residual mark of energy in our DNA and cell memories Your present view sets the stage for understanding your own world, wisdom, awareness and counsel you give to You. We are not here searching for the sacred in the profane but the human heart in a greater humanity. The ground of your life garden is a matrix of unfathomed limitlessness. Your beliefs can limit you or be stepping stones reflected in your universal consciousness and the out come of the choices you make. Imagine your life thread made up of many fibers woven together. As you sew your life tapestry you move, bend, and circle many times back on and coloring your own creations. We are here to learn and grow so we might comprehend who we are. All information is recorded in our cell memory and the Akashic records. Our cells and the Akashic records speak in a symbol language so as we change we will still be able to use the knowledge we have in and around us. This is called imprinting. When we leave this place, letting our physical bodies return to the earth, what ever understanding we had goes with us. When we re-enter this world taking on a new form we come in with that same awareness we left with. Our job here is to grow that which we know and understand. The reasons our past lives seem out of reach is because we are moving beyond that time and awareness taking only the information and essence with us. This is so we do not get emotionally attached to one form and stop the growing process. To become stagnant we all lose. What we need to know at any given moment will awaken inside us. As we learn to use what we know as tools and not weapons or weeds and vines of attachments, we will see more of our life threads purpose. Although it seems special to have someone “read” your past history keep in mind they are coming from their own symbols and not yours. Each life works through many layers embracing all the elements and possibilities. Thus our Soul Energy opens to us showing us we all are channels of a higher consciousness in the Universe and time we are in. The Universe is the channel then for the Earth consciousness. The Earth Consciousness is the channel of the ultimate healer and Creation of all life. Creation becomes our connection to the Higher Consciousness and we begin again. One feeds the other so the all can grow. We are only as strong as our weakest thread. The above connections like threads in a tapestry happen between beliefs, emotions, and perceptions. The limits we have are the ones we create. No matter where you enter or your intent, you have a place to begin. Any Walk-In Spirit will tell you this. As you see yourself and your power you will also see the connections and worlds around you. To honor yourself is to honor the all. Each has a voice that sings in the proverbial choir of our souls vibrations. This is where who we are is designed and given the power to be one in the whole and the whole in one as we so choose. As we become so we are. Sometimes our hearts must break, our faith must be shattered and our lives turned upside down before we face ourselves. This is so as our cocoons ( past lives) open we will not fear our power to heal ourselves as we learn what it means to fly.
I haven't heard that term. It's interesting. I will research that one. Thanks. Beautiful analogy. I'm still thinking on the "many pieces of soul energy" theory. I guess traditional thinking would have the soul as being in one whole that reincarnates as a whole. Simple, if limiting. In the "many pieces theory", a soul in a present incarnation might be made up of hundreds of pieces that came from lots of places to combine and form the current life that animates a body. Upon death of the current entity's body, that entity's soul might take flight in hundreds of different directions to learn hundreds of different lessons - simultaneously. That's huge and far less limiting. Something to think about... Or, if the soul energy I know as "Me" has the capability to experience multiple realities simultaneously, not limited by time and dates as we think we understand them, why would I not be living a thousand different lives, in a thousand different places and times, all a once right now??? Food for thought...
Tyrsonswood brought up the exact theory that I was going to mention. I've been reading up on Shamanism for quite some time. That was the first description that I ever read of what a shaman does. Second, actually, the first thing was that a shaman's first patient is himself. The second was that a shaman enters into the otherworld to find those bits of the soul that have gone off from a person. The trauma that has shattered the soul sends those parts off to heal, but unfortunately, they sometimes never come back, and sometimes do not wish to come back even when the shaman finds them and asks them to return. Those are the ones who appear to us to be insane. They have parts of them missing, leaving an incomplete person behind. The other part of what you're mentioning reminds me of what Carl Sagan said once. He said that 97% of our DNA was junk. Only 3% of it was required to make us and the other 97% was 'star stuff'. I've often believed that 97% was what is sometimes referred to as 'racial memory'. It's the reason why we know certain things for no apparent reason. That may be where the reasoning that we believe that we are someone else comes from. We may actually have a memory in us, in our DNA, that tells us who we once were. I don't know that I could believe a soul would break down and get spread around like water after our death, I think that our soul remains complete at that point. But certainly, there are unexplained reasons why we have memories and thoughts that we have never come into contact with in our lives. It's like when you meet someone who is 17 and seems to be very understanding and with it, like a very old soul, but you also meet someone who is a complete child and they are 45. Something about each of those people is making them seem beyond their actual age. The 17 year old is a very old soul and the 45 is a very young soul, not yet having been around long enough to learn a little 'soul maturity'. Or is it our DNA as Carl Sagan suggests? Who knows?
this resonates strongly with me as im sure it does with others, very much so the last paragraph. thank you
Interesting theory, but nothing seems to back it up like this.... http://www.anglamarke.com/interview
I have noticed this as well Aerianne. I had a reading recently and the psychic told me I had an inherited line. At that point I knew exactly whose line she was talking about and also connected to the fact that lots of people have that. When exploring my past lives I noticed that each that I've connected to connects me prominently to the ancestral/cultural/ethnic differences that are real within my DNA...I found it very interesting when I had those connections. I do feel though that maybe there is something to what you're saying...many pieces...and that maybe I was somewhere within the lives I connected with and that we do share with a "soul group" things that can be experienced simultaneously and directly accessed in cellular memory as our own experiences, though they may have occurred in someone else's body. Like we can experience things that our friends or families go through from their descriptions, or by being in their presence, or just feeling their energy and emotions internally and/or telepathically.
I have read that we choose to enter the life/body/family we come into...and that in many incarnations we choose the same people (souls) to incarnate with - but in different relationships. I forget if this was in the SpiritWalker book or in something by Edgar Cayce or who; but it felt right to me. I've noticed the reptitive birthdates in my family also - in those I am close to, as well as in those ppl I almost consider myself enemies with...altho' I guess I shouldn't look at it like that; but as those who "challenge" me.

I wonder if there is only one Marie Antoinette and one Napoleon but several people believe they were them because maybe they were someone close in personality and life events to these famous people, they just weren't known. So it's easier for them to say and think "I must have been this person in a past life."
