Great to see another call to action after all the arrest of lately. I will attend several of these protest, sounds like it will be a busy spring. :2thumbsup:

Love for my fellow Anons but i doubt many people will go. I could be wrong, people tend to see Anonymous as a "hero" doing what they should be doing. It creates a diffusion of responsibility and leads people to believe that they don't need to go out and protest for change to occur. We will see... But i highly doubt anyone besides true fans will protest. I'l be there though

Look everybody see's anonymous as a couple kids who like to hack, sure Occupy promoted the movement with the Guy Fawkes mask and the ideology has progressed. BUT, fact of the matter is... The Citizens of the United States don't even know what Anonymous is.

Some say Anonymous is CIA.. how could you know for sure when you don't even know what Anonymous truly is.

Why would I go to a protest in favor of said group?

I would never join a group that I have no idea who they are or their motives.. that is beyond blind.

 

It's not that you should protest in favor of any group. If you choose to protest it should be because you, also, are not in favor of whatever the protest is about.

 

Lol anonymous crept out of the bowels of the internet like boards of 4chan. Present-day, yes there are infiltrators. I've been in the IRC and people say there are feds logging all the chats. It's not a government operation..

 

Correct there. I'm not in favor of CISPA but I would not protest in the way that the video is asking people to and to protest in that way would be in favor of "Anonymous".

If you don't want to throw in with Anonymous, you could probably find other ways to express your opposition to CISPA if you choose to.

What about petitioning against it? I'm not much of an activist.. would petitioning work in this type of situation?

 

I don't know about you but i signed many petitions while CISPA was in dispute. Once it past the house of rep the internet kind of realized that without the commercial opposition (that SOPA received) the people really couldn't do much. CISPA has to go through the senate but we don't really know what else to do besides protest; since CISPA passed so easily even though people we're signing petitions.
