http://cuttingthegordianknot.wordpr...m-no-known-technology-to-deal-with-fukushima/ pretty scary - and we don't have the technology to keep it from happening
Hell... we don't even have the technology to properly dispose of spent fuel from a functioning nuclear power plant, let alone a damaged one.
I have an acquaintance that works in the nuclear power field and has first hand knowledge of what's happening over there. We are pretty much fucked.they cant stop it.there is no way to stop it.we had a sub over there when it happened with enough boron on it to stop this in the beginning but the japs refused it.unless they figure something out soon the planet and all life on it is done.
A lot of things could happen any second, I don't think it's very smart to worry about all those options. Fukishima on the other hand has happened already. Seems more logical to have worries about that.
maybe thats what this planet needs...it happened before..im sure it will happen again...and again...and again
pretty much any object that comes close enough to earth that can be seen and identified is. there are a LOT of people with a LOT of telescopes that look at a LOT of space. asteroids are charted and logged all the time - we have a pretty good idea of the objects that have an orbit near us. it's objects with rogue trajectories that we are in danger of, but these are actually pretty rare as the solar system is quieting down with collisions on a massive scale like this. and it CAN surely stop it. NASA already has already started to put procedures in place to stop an asteroid impact. it's negative, paranoid people like you (conspirators included) that really rub me the wrong way. there is always some reason to live in an existential soup of not caring. i really can't stand it and how it serves to give people a reason for them to not do anything significant with their lives.
If a bunch of people see it we won't be "blindsided" but it's not going to stop it from happening.... Back to our regularly scheduled Nuclear Meltdown....
lol i'm not really worried about it, but i'm just as capable to stop an asteroid as i am a nuclear meltdown so why worry about either one?
