see, when kids start knowing songs by their commercials alone, a time is fading.

I'm not sure whats worst - hearing Velvet Underground\Iggy Pop songs used for commercials or Sex Pistol ones - oh well, lie back and think of the royalties

I seem to recalled Micheal Jackson got in trouble with Paul McCartney and (at the time) the other 2 surviving Beatles maybe 10-15 years ago. He used the original recording of John Lennon singing "Revolution" pulled from the White Album for an Adidas commerical. Or maybe it was the single version.
It was one thing to hire a singer to sing old Beatles songs for commerical soundtracks but another to use the Beatles themselves.

Yeah! the band rocked. check out their dvd "the last waltz" it was on amc i think the other day, but it's worth owning. it's their final concert and features the band joined by joni mitchel, van morrison, muddy waters, and many more! soooooo good.
