Haha cocaine is high, marijuana is a high. Lsd is something else man... soommmeethiiinnggg eellleeessee
My friend saw a demon prince on 2c-b. My gf met god and satan on 2c-e. Does that mean that aliens communicate through tryptamines and that divine entities communicate through phens? Nope. It seemed perfectly human, terrestrial, carbon based lifeform, organic, etc. I'm sure it had nothing to do with the fact that someone with a worldview like yours and a natural sober inclination to believe all manner of supernatural things was on mushrooms. Think about an orgasm. It is neurons and hormones and muscles firing. I think the place where your knowledge and logic is failing you is in your lack of understanding about just what the brain really is, and can do. That's why you need to invoke "the other", because you don't realize what you're dealing with between your own ears. If you are serious about finding the truth man, what you should do is first disprove your opponents, people like me, who will tell you that the human brain is by far the most complex and bewildering cubic foot of space in the known universe. There are more meaningful connections of living tissue, matter, chemical interactions, and electrical activity in this three pounds of grey matter than in a whole galaxy devoid of homo sapiens or equivalent. These effects can be reliably produced by applying electrodes to your head, or increasing your dopamine levels. Certain people with certain schizophrenic problems have too much dopamine and so they see too much correlation and significance between everything, rendering them unable to function in society because suddenly there is a grand drama between a blade of grass and a thought they had. From your head. Thoughts from Da Vinci and Socrates? How do you know these are thoughts from Socrates? I think it's fascinating that you dismiss the possibility that the thoughts you are having in your own head are coming from your own head and instead what seems more likely to you is that you are eating an n-dimensional alien entity and are having consciousness intercourse with it to channel the thoughts of a 2,000 year dead greek man. That to me is wonderful, and I hope one day you can see how your own mind works that it might not take you for too much of a ride Unless of course it's coming from electrodes on your temples or a dopamine imbalance, or a psychedelic experience which can create all kinds of strange and wonderful sensations. It's like love, lots of little wondrous strange things happen but it doesn't mean anything beyond "youre in love", it doesn't mean anything beyond "youre on a psychedelic".
It's probably not a popular concenpt on here, but yes they do. Something like a psycedelic allows you to see other dimensions. They are not demons in the biblical sense, but they have presented themselves to be gods to our ancestors. Joe Rogan used what he called the fart analogy, if you had no sense of smell that could go on right by you and you would not know. The brain is blind to so much of what true reality is. I am sure Writer feels it's just the brain playing tricks, but these "demons" as you call them have always been with us. They shapeshift, they appear to be many things. They exiist in a place the two pyscal eyes can not see. We are kept blind on purpose to their exisitince through the supression of the third eye. I don't have the rep points to be aggred with, but I have definitly found this to be true on my own journey. They can not harm you, the negative ones usualy only come to those who wish it. An example of this would be Alister Crowley, he used pysedelics to seek what we considerd "evil", he wanted power, but the typical drug user has the oportoinity to be taught by truth and love, these are all that affect you if you wish it. The entites know your intent. If your gf saw Satan, she had a lesson to learn. For example my friend encountered what he called the grim reaper on DMT, but it did not harm him, it made him confront his father, confront the fact he was no good, and he therefore must not trust in him. He can not depend on him for love, once he said this out loud the reaper was gone.
Now you see it as an entity outside of your friend, other than him. I see the same experience as his own memories, mind and subconscious (I don't even like that term) presenting an unresolved issue to his conscious mind in a form or presentation that itself is sourced from within his mind. Really, why the insistence by so many that these thoughts and impressions have to originate from somewhere other than within oneself? I just don't get it.
Oi mister writer, what about a shamans experience? Like Out of body experiences, trance-states, altered states. I can see those all are chemicals in our brain, but how does one achieve that without the power of psychedelics. Not saying i condone psychs to achieve that, but to simply say "your on a psychedelic" when others have presumably achieved the same air-space through meditation alone. Power of the mind? External entities that people make up? It's uncanny
You really don't think anything more of DMT entities than something your brain makes up? I've never experienced entities, but hearing about them makes me feel like they are more than just figments of our imaginations. Most certainly.
Damn Writer I really thought you were someone who actually believed in some of the magic of the chemicals. That seems a pretty cold way to look at it. Even Albert Hoffman believed that their was some animate quality to them, and he was a scientist. I thought half the reason any of this was so interesting is because it was something of the inexplicable, something of the impossible, something not contained to 3 dimensional physical reality. I don't think we have spiritual experiences because we have neurons fire in the brain, I think we have neurons firing in the brain because we have spiritual experiences. That what happens in the body is a physical result of a metaphysical process. Obviously our brain is extremely complex, and amazement doesn't even begin to express my opinion on that. I just think there is more then just the physical realm, there is more subtle level of reality, and psychedelics is a way to access that, and possibly from accessing that you can talk to different lifeforms (extraterrestrial, angelic, metaphyscial, etc). Seriously have you ever seen a HYPER-OBJECT? An object that has extra dimensions to it, more then three, you can see in back and front of it at the same time. Seriously where does this hyper-object come from? What does it have relative to do in 3Dimensional space where I lived my whole life? How did my brain create such a complex looking 4 dimensional shape, when I have been living on a 3D planet. Where did this extra information, and sudden super genius come from? Collective unconscious?? Ps. Take a high ass dose of mushrooms and tell me there is nothing alien... I don't know what your definition of alien is, but some of this stuff is literally like finding artifacts on an alien planet, there is a definite sense of alien to it! Its not that it doesn't feel natural or organic, it just feels of a different nature, unrecognizable to normal faucets of life.
The dichotomy is false one. It's "in your head" or it's "real." THINGS IN YOUR HEAD ARE REAL. YOUR MIND AND CONSCIOUSNESS ARE MORE REAL THAN ANYTHING IN THE EXTERNAL CONSENSUAL REALITY. Once you realize this, you don't have to put the aliens in the space around you to acknowledge that the experience of them is valid.
Albert Hofmann believed LSD spoke to him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SInkOigeGno"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SInkOigeGno
I prefer handwritten reports to reflect on my experiences in life. I really don't feel the need to I guess. And yes, I sometimes wonder as well, setting aside the usual effects many people can relate to one, the parts we all possess in this shared experience.
Bingo ^ I never said anything was a "figment of the imagination", in fact I was trying to shift the divinity and cosmic paradoxical nature of the psychedelic/alien mythos over to the psychedelic/human mind direction. Again you guys just really have not been exposed to the true sciences of neurology, psychology, physics, biology, so you think that all this "stuff" in us is just ho hum blood and sweat organs, therefore these fantastical life changing events have to come from aliens from another dimension, because you don't know that we have everything we need to create and perceive such things right here in our skulls.
For a long time I've suspected that the brain is some sort of bridge between the physical and the spiritual. In that right, these two theories would fit together perfectly as the brain manifesting a spiritual image through its connection to the spiritual realm. I just sort of have to believe that these things I've experienced are "real" although when you allow yourself to change your own personal definition of "real" then it's hard to identify what is and what is not.
Everything is in your brain...... In this way, there is no bridge, just brain. It's all in your head, maaaannnn.... I get tired of people downplaying the brain, something along the lines of what writer just said. If your brain can percieve everything that it does, is percieving other things (even if they only exist within your brain) SO hard? To think that the realism of these things would not be possible for your brain on it's own is a terrible insult to your brain. Along with levels of realism, there are levels of "does it matter?". Wether there was really a reaper making that guy accept that he couldn't trust his dad doesn't seem to matter, the point is that he had an experience where he came to this realization. I mean, it still seems totally metaphorical and a figment of his imagination...... but that doesn't have anything to do with the point of the experience. Deciding that you're really talking with aliens or demons, to me, sounds like the chemicals you're using are going right over your head. It's not that others don't take them seriously, it's that you don't take them, or reality, seriously.
i think the magic is in the evolution of us, and the evolution of a mushroom that contains a potent psychedelic that affects our brains in the way it does. so why DOES a mushroom make this chemical, that fits snugly into our serotonin receptors? i could be a grand design by god or by aliens, or it could be sheer chance, why WOULDN'T biological organisms on the same planet use similar bio-molecules? i could believe the idea that some type of god is responsible for starting SOMETHING that eventually led to all of this.
Yah I agree, as much of a skeptic as I am about some things, I have to think there are process that have taken outside of my brain that I have only come to make sense of by mental processes. For instance, I can understand in my head that there was a time before I was alive that my parents and grandparents lived in and while that knowledge may register in some part of my brain eliciting a chemical reaction, that event occurred outside of my brain. That's kinda sort of the same perspective I get in the breakthrough DMT realms, the knowledge that these entities, intelligences and realms exist in a sense that's well beyond the scope of my ability to intellectualize it yet it's still relayed to me in a 'knowing' sense.
What GB said.. I cant believe some of the things Ive seen. Cant explain them, my brain isnt capable of making those things up like that, Its something we're not suppose to know. but have been given this opportunity to been shown it. I know there is some higher form of intelligence guiding. Its not like we are some chosen peoples. if chosen, then by what?.. When did the brain decide it wanted to communicate with us through chemicals?..
I agree that there definitely is a difference between what happens externally from something that is completely internal. If the entities seem external, does it seem like you could pass them a message that someone else could get from them, or does it seem like they are entities that no one but yourself would ever see? If it's the latter, I think that difference gets blurred a little bit. I have no idea what the truth is about DMT entities, but I've never really sat down and had a personal connection with anything on DMT. It's always been more like fragments or people or creatures, more than something that seemed like a whole entity with it's own life that I could really get to know. The entity type stuff was along the lines of mechanical robot like things, growing people fountains, animated cartoons, and the like. Scary and friendly, but never with full personalities. Also, on the first few seconds of come up, I often get this feeling of multiple personalities, where different parts of my psyche are communicating as individuals. (arguing usually to be honest.) So, to me I tend towards the "in my head" belief. I remember a few years ago meeting an old friend at a wedding when I had just started trying DMT. He was not that far along yet, but knew about a lot of stuff from erowid. He asked a lot about DMT. When I mentioned that I tended towards the "in my head" belief with DMT, right away he said that he would be much more likely to believe it was entities and meeting beings on a different plane. I don't know if he's ever gotten the chance to try it, but I'm pretty sure he would meet entities more readily than me. He may be right. (The arguments on come up between my multiple personalities are usually: "Finish the bowl. One more hit!" "Come on, he's hallucinating, you're being cruel to him." "You'll be sorry if you don't have a full experience, take another hit!" "If he wants to stop, let him stop, for Christ's sake." ... "Ahhhh")
