what would you do to make earth a better place to live for everyone :Angel_anim: (or a vast majority who needs it the most) you have 3 billion in liquid cash would you distibute your fortune in africa or use it in that country, would you make university and every other level of education free for a year in a poor country, would you use it for activism (if so what goal) or to try to change perceptions of the 1% who hold 99% of the whealth. 1- i would try to dig a chanel across part of Africa (i heard it would have costed onethenth of the price to dig the panama chanel whit nukes)((and of course clean, fallout-free nuclear devices)) to induce more rain whitch translate in more food and it would help stop desertification. i would also provide seeds for crops. 2- make world wide distribution of marijuhana and shrooms :biggrinjester: to world leaders/troublemakers, cause when your high, your in no mood to fight or shoot someone, your more likely to call your enemy to smoke one! 3- i would reserch OGM and make drought resistant food crop and distribute them in the most needed places. im very much into food, it's the most basic of basic needs and knowing that i can go to the super market while someone is hungry somewhere makes me feel prelivigied... Well, what would you do to help ?
As Far As I'm Concerned Africa Can Die Of Thirst, This Equates To All The More Oxygen For The Rest Of Us...:2thumbsup:. I Would Then Make Plans Which Ensure No Person On This Planet, Regardless Of Colour, Race, Or Creed Is Forced To Reside At A Distance Greater Than 5 km,s From The Nearest Mc Donalds, Thai, Chinese, Wendys, Indian, And Pizza Takeouts.... And Then Introduce A Similar Ordinance To Cover The Maximum *walking* Distance A Person Can Reside From A Bottleshop.... Is That Enough To Qualify Me For My Wings...:Angel_anim:..?? Cheers Glen.
i would build very narrow gauge railways, the size ride on railway hobbiest build, connecting villages where trasportation now consists of people hauling freight on their backs or bicycles, and on which they could instead more easily drive pedal powered trains. for that kind of money you could probably do this for an entire continent. food, shelter, water, air, all these things are basic, but i think an enviro friendly transportation infrastructure like that would help with all of them, more then paved roads for cars or people having to indenture themselves to them like we do in the u.s. refrigerated ice chest freight cars they could pull or push with their bicycle/i.e. human powered engines too. of course solar/battery power would be even better, but my idea is to not take away from people what they have now, to make things better, because you know what? doing that almost always makes them worse, other then on paper, which lies.
nice to bring much needed comodity to the places that need it, but would you be able to pedal if you starved? i still think your idea is nice:2thumbsup: i tend to forget the material question
