Not sure RooR http://www.c-spanvideo.org/program/HouseSession5330/start/26650/stop/29303 Here is the full CSPAN archived video. It's an amendment that would respect state rights on MJ rather than the federal law. The session was 3 days ago so i am not completely sure as to where the amendment is now
The gentleman from Mass. is a little off, he hasn't been paying attention to the news or TV. I recently saw a documentary about MMJ and in some area's in CA there has been an increase in crime due to MMJ. It does exist. And while allowing MMJ on the federal level, it isn't enough. They need to move it from a schedule I drug over to a schedule II and legalize it across the board. Remove the desire/need for black market sales and the crime issues will dissipate.
Because the news says so doesn't make it true. We're talking about verifiable documentation, like peer reviewed studies, etc.....
I've done a study,,reviewed as well by my peers. My findings are to the following conclusion: Weed is good. I shall continue medicating, and in so doing, purchase to myself the relief of which I am due a share.
I agree that it should be moved from Schedule I, but does Schedule II have the effect of full legalization, or are you just speaking directly to MMJ?
At least on schedule II it can be prescribed legally, as is even in medical states it's not legal to prescribe. Conversely, if it were legalized across the board it would no longer be on any schedule. Part of the problem with the MMJ issue is it does get convoluted easily with general legalization issues. :/ I should have said "or" instead of "and" legalize it across the board.
The amendment failed. They really are fucking hypocrites, want fiscal conservatism and states rights, unless they can shove people around by not wanting those things.
