Looking at Spain (easy for foreigners to live long term) , Costa Rica; Brazil; Uruguay etc. I have been looking at property with the intention of a Communal way of living. Things done the old ways like the monks would have done. This way of life could be a male only venture (like monks) or taken to be a family oriented commune. Looking for feedback.

I have found Monasteries, Convents, Haciendas, whole villages, and farms that all would be ideal for this Communal Venture.

Structure would be similar to monks joining a monastary. Work for the cause of the group ............or like a Kibbutz or Moshav (Isreal).

Focus would be on living the old ways, self generated power, Solar heating; Organic foods; etc.

Music & Art would be embrased.

Forms of generating an income: Tourism retreats, woodworking products, Bread baking (for sale); preserves, honey production; sheep for wool, knitting and weaving; vinyard & Wine making; Olives; fruit; ...and so forth.

Anyone that is interested or know of a place suitable or have some ideas ....please feel free to email me.
