i've never even seen the false ones, and i collect pounds of morels every May. never tried drying them, just had them fresh. lightly fried in butter with a bit of salt. or cooked with garlic, spinach, and fresh snails, and of course lots of butter. smear that shit on some toasted sourdough. that's my go to snack this time of year.

i've heard so long as you cook the false ones well they are fine to eat. but i like my mushies barely cooked.

false morels don't even really look like morels.. plus they are easy to tell from the real thing since the false morels are not hollow.. they've been poppin around here for a couple weeks now.. i have yet to find any or put any real time into a search either way

Anyone know of any good credit cards that are easy to get without a job and as a teenager? Although I don't have a job I have a lot of money saved up so thought that I'd get a credit card now that I'm 18 to start building up my credit (id rarely use it, I'm just sick of having to use my moms when I occasionally buy things online) something without a yearly or monthy fee or something

Grew a pound on my property around a brush pile fire from last year. On the menu this weekend. I also get chanterelle, yellow and white, matsutake, porcini, and man on horseback in the fall.

Is an anual interest rate (on a credit card) per month or year? Monthly makes more sense, but i always think of year when i hear annual... i dunno... And, lets say i go and buy something for 100$ on the credit card... then go home and pay it off within the next few days, do i still pay interest on that 100$ or do i only pay interest on it if that 100$ carries onto the next month?

    Annual is per year.

You'll only pay the interest if you have a balance at the end of the monthly cycle.

Now you want a credit card?? Why not just get one of those preloaded ones these days. Throw some $ on it and online shop away!

I dunno, thought it'd get me some good credit. Especially since i'm pretty good with spending, wouldn't ever be building up any debt

i got a credit card and built a stellar credit score with it. they told me at the bank that my credit score really didn't amount to anything even though it was really high because it was just from a credit card and I didn't have anything of the sort of major loans like an auto loan or something of that nature. total bullshit if you ask me. it's kind of like if you need credit you don't have it, and if you have credit you don't need it.

as long as you pay your balance on time every month, you wont ever pay interest.

This is true, but it's also not the way to a great credit rating. (Good maybe, but not great) You're not playing the "game" unless you hold a balance, otherwise how are they going to make money. Interest is money to them...

yeah it's shitty. best bet is to try and get a line of credit (which will have a lower interest rate than a credit card) and use it to pay off your card.

Paying off a car loan on time and with no late pays works better than a credit card... But then you end up paying too much for said car.

Credit is a trap no matter how you look at it... Save up and buy stuff with cash makes much more sense. But then you "aren't playing the game".
