Hi looking for a bit of advice,

My wife and I have just started having regular anal play it's not taken her long to get used to the width of my cock or having a few fingers the problem is the length she can take a medium size butt plug up to the widest point but then as it starts to slide in it hurts and it's the same with my penis. it's like any more than 4 inches hurts her, I find it strange as when she has played with me i find it's only the width that's the problem

Have you checked to see if the poop chute is loaded?
After I have her anus relaxed and open I check for any "intruders" with my fingers.
If anything is up there she makes a trip to the bathroom.
Also there is a 2nd sphincter about 4 or 5 inches up there.
It needs TLC also in order to open up.
Go slowly and you will be able to feel it and then gently massage it with the head of your dick.

The anus is only 4-5 inches deep I believe. After that there is a sphincter into the colon. You might be hitting that. It is possible to go through that and into the colon but she needs to be relaxed and the angle needs to be good. Get a good angle and continue slowly and gently making sure she is relaxed.

I've been with a guy 8.5-9 inches and he only got just over half way in before hitting mine. A gentle push and he could continue in balls deep.

Yep, I can confirm the secondary opening, believe they are called rectal valves. The first few times we had anal I used to think the tip of my dick was hitting poop inside the wifey. Just to clear up some misinformation here, there ARE two sphincters, an "interior" and an "exterior" but they are both located within the first 2-3 inches of the anus. The two sphincters overlap completely and act as a single unit. This other obstruction you are feeling about 4-6 inches in is actually just the intestine turning a sharp 90 degree turn.

After some TLC you can get the intestine to straighten out and you can really go as deep as you want as long as you very gently rearrange the intestines into a long straight tube, versus the super curvy and turning one we have naturally. I got a 8-9" dildo a few years ago and at first it would hurt if I tried to force it an deeper than about 6 inches. Over time tho, and gentle pushing it as far back as it would go, I could tell that it was going a little deeper each time.
