I don't use Last Fm anymore, though not through choice. a couple of months ago, it stopped scrobbing my music, and no matter what I do, I can't seem to fix the problem, so I'm no longer a Last.Fm user. lol :(

Perhaps you changed a password or something? I know I had that problem in the past. Forgot my password and changed it on the scrobbler which caused a malfunction cause the site used my old password. That was easily solvable though. It would be a real bummer to involuntarily stop scrobbling after I have for so long and have these cool stastistics (that even suprise me at times) :p

Nah, it's nothing like that, I've never changed my password. It just happened out of the blue. I deleted the scrobbler and tried to reinstall it, but keep getting an error message saying that it can't access the server. And asks me for my proxy, even though I'm not using one. After weeks of frustration with it, I've just given up. :(

Hmm so you still had the profile page, just not the scrobbler? I really think you should get that working again as long as you can connect the srobbler to your page via the same username. But if you tried it till you got frustrated I'm probably wrong :D

I've been meaning to but just haven't.

What are you people's opinion on it?

No, I had the profile page and the scrobbler. lol But for some reason, the scrobbler just stopped working, and after trying several different things to try and make it work again, I just deleted the scrobbler. To see if reinstalling it might help. But since I did that, I can't reinstall the scrobbler, because I keep getting that error message everytime I try. I have the same username, and password. And can access my profile page with no problem. But it won't let me connect the scrobbler to it... for what reason, I have no idea. :(

That's lame. I know I freaked out when my scrobbled songs didn't appear on my page anymore. Went to a faq and found that password problem here. Wouldn't have thought of it myself (changed it some time before, never thought it would disconnect the page from the scrobbler :p)

The more you 'scrobble' the more fun it gets in my opinion. Better recommendations (if you like looking up new music yourself it beats Pandora for finding new music you dig by a longshot), bigger database with more statistics of all your listened tunes (I've been scrobbling for several years so I get suprised at a regular basis when I look at my most listened shit etc.) and you can get in the social aspect as well if you dig that. Lots of music groups (and nonsensical ones too :D) and your page neighbours are compiled by your listened, tagged or loved music so they have similar taste.

    :2thumbsup:

I think it's pretty great, but I've never used any other online radios, or whatever.

Sometimes it doesn't scrobble correctly, but it's rare and then I just have to quit the scrobbler and reopen it.

Last.fm is perhaps the best site for finding similar artists to other "bands"

Me neither, I never listen to any radio actually. I rather listen and scrobble my own superb music collection :mickey:

Have you tried using another scrobbling source player?

Yeah, one day I noticed my plays weren't being counted, meaning my recommendations were no longer being updated, which was a bummer, but I can still get what I want from it. I just have to do it manually.
