    Hello lovers!
I'm very excited, my hair has easily knotted up in the past with some neglect due to its curly wild nature.
Any tips from the pros about natural neglect? Things to do and not do?

    Namaste

I think that may be slightly counter productive, ha.

my hair is african nappy curly but I assume the rules are the same.. leave it alone, wash it, keep it clean. I personally allowed my hair to go whatever way it was going and my hair is super strong, super thick, and wild. best of luck to you!

    Ya, what FeralLunar said.

I would also recommend figuring out for sure if you're trying to rip sections when large tangles form or not, because once you do 'there's no going back'.

But it's whatevers. I personally ripped a bunch in the back of my head early on and that's where I now have my most beastly locks. A lot of that is from shit congo-ing
    as the years went on.

Enjoy the journey. Stop touching or even paying much attention to your hair for a while, keep it clean (train your scalp to not get greasy if you haven't already), and have a sweet time, before you know it you'll have some really interesting stuff to notice and enjoy!

I definitely plan to separate if I feel the sections are too big.
    Thankyou! I'm so excited.

can't really give any better advice then was already given. i'd look into the baking soda wash because its amazing and your head will never feel so clean.

im 9 months in and i love it and I'm sure you will too. =)

Prepare for random strangers asking to touch your hair everywhere you go.

Haha, fun times ahead! I have one twist and rip dread and people are always asking to touch it.

    Thanks all!
