anyways, plastic is made of natural gas or oil and uses a lot of energy to make; it costs a lot less to recycle glass than it does plastic. in conclusion, in the words of captain planet, (he's our hero), we're gonna take pollution down to zero.

fair enough,
but you have to agree that most plastics out there are pretty much heading straight for the trash after they get only a few uses out of them. plastic becomes brittle and weak over time.... so in the end, they're gonna end up in an incinerator or a landfill a lot sooner than a glass container will, and with that, they'll be giving off chlorine and other shit into the atmosphere, or contaminating the earth. plastic isn't the best choice for reducing pollution...
but i hear your argument.... you're getting a lot of use out of yours.
