plant/human symbiosis and the fall of humanity I think you'll all find this article REALLY interesting. The book is absolutely mind boggling to. Terence's brother Dennis McKenna wrote the forward, and in some ways (although the book doesn't mention it for obvious credibility reasons) this is like an updated stoned-ape theory but much much different and very well evidenced.
i've been reading about this for an hour or so now. very interesting, but it doesn't seem super credible. just the feeling i get while reading.
it would make sense .. why do we have the drug receptors but not the drugs.. at some point in history we must have had the drugs naturally in our body like sasha explains in his new doc dirty pictures ..( a must watch ) i think evolution or sum schism trapped the human intellect and soul in the narrow space of time which is visible light and perhaps mushrooms awoke our spirit sleeping deep inside the inner worlds..to me the human and the monkey are two different beings .. one the carrier the other the mind itself ..like a prisoner in pandoras box . plants have inner worlds holding life and consciousness .. perhaps humans once worked this way as the body lived on the planet the mind lived inside the planet in a higher dimensional state . the mushroom might have devolded us and not evolved us .. n now the intoxication is causing a paradox effect and what once was .. its all real interesting .. i suggest you watch terence mckennas inside the outsider video on youtube .. a great talk on the potential alien aspect the mushroom holds talking to the ufo scholars .. ive always though it was one of the most interesting talks in human history . wether positive or negative stoned ape theory, even once proved, can be debated for ever ..
the receptors in our brains that psilocin, DMT, or LSD bind to ARE bound by naturally occurring chemicals in our brain (serotonin mostly). we don't have DMT receptors, or psilocin (mushroom) receptors. those drugs bind to serotonin receptors.
they are oddball in that they are the only known receptors to elicit 'backwards signaling.' but there's still an endogenous neurotransmitter that binds to the same receptor(s) as THC, etc. it's called anadamide(sp?) a word that means bliss in english
ever read true hallucinations .. with denis mushroom molecule/electron spin resonance super conducting to dna and rna theory . someone should do the same experiment one day !
I would just read the book, it takes a while to really understand this. Its important to keep in mind that if this is true then of course the entire context and severity of the condition would be a difficult to grasp, and the defintion of delusion implies (and the psychological data presented does as well) that there would be VERY severe psychological problems accepting the diagnosis- even if the mountain of evidence was laid out in laymens terms (there would have to be a mountain or else this would simply not be true). If its not true then there would be zero evidence.
And i believe there is receptors throughout the gut that some scientist (i forget his name but the author talks about him in various places and i think in the book) has found many receptors throughout the gut that were inexplicable. I believe it had to do with beta-carboline type molecules (MAOI). The gut uses 95% of our seratonin and is lined with a neural tissue that is very complex- like another brain. And considering our brains are the most complex and chemically sensitive thing in the known universe..then its a bit scary to realize the impact the junk we throw into our body is really having on us
This is very related to that book, IMO. Albeit indirectly..(except the sleep deprivation parts are obvious) Overall this idea clicks in some people, and in others it doesn't. In every single one i know who it hasn't clicked- once they read the book they were pretty blown away. I can say though that after experimenting, and talking with other who've done the same, it just becomes self-evident as a major shift in perception occurs.
nah .. read true hallucinations .. terence mckenna and his bro trek to the jungle to research ayahuasca shamans but get detoured by mushrooms ... dennis kind of looses his mind and grip on reality after making the same sound vocally that he hears in his head while tripping... he theorized,at the time, that since mushrooms molecule is shaped like a bell as dna or serotonin(forgot) it would have close to the same electron spin resonance . adding another layer of the same wave(sound) would create the law of harmonics: super conduction .. after he did this he was reading peoples thoughts, manic and almost insane .. its an awesome book ..the book goes from a amazing detailed story to a bunch of crazy ideas, math , and theories of what exactly happened to him ..
