Does anyone know what metabolites are produced by taking fentanyl and what their half lives are?

I found an abstract to an article which says that there are 2 metabolites, norfentanyl and despropionylfentanyl. I didn't see anything about half-lives in the abstract, but the complete article is available in pdf. It did say that norfentanyl was found in urine at 96 hours in 4 out of 7 people tested. Here's the link: http://www.anesthesia-analgesia.org/content/76/3/618

Haha thanks man. I was thinking about smoking some today since I can finally get it again but I have my first pain management appt and I would be very upset with myself if a fucked up. I've been trying to get legal help for my back for years but it's tough where i live and at my age. Thanks again, you probably saved me from doing something pretty stupid.

Not a problem. In fact, the subject of that article was detection of Fentanyl use by urinalysis.
