Wikipedia: the development of tolerance to morphine may be inhibited by NMDA antagonists such as ketamine or dextromethorphan.[30] the footnote leads you to: ^ Herman BH, Vocci F, Bridge P. "The effects of NMDA receptor antagonists and nitric oxide synthase inhibitors on opioid tolerance and withdrawal. Medication development issues for opiate addiction." Neuropsychopharmacology. 1995 December;13(4):269-93. PMID 8747752 Gonna check out this paper. Imagine if ket slowed down tolerance development! sweeet
Yes good sir. This has been tested, and all around proven. I think I read something like as little as 30mgs of DXM will help keep your tolerance low.
wait what? if u take low amounts of fxm ur tolerance goes lower? how does this work, do u take it with ur opiates? or everyday?? more info plz
I believe you dose it with your opiates, and it is suppose to keep your tolerence down. I think their is another thread about this somewhere
I think it is probably because DXM works on your opiate receptors. So this probably ties up some space some more of the drug is free to float in your system. I experience the same effect with karatom or if you really wanted I'm sure lope would do it to. For those that don't know lope is loperamide or imodium.
POSTED FROM ANOTHER THREAD Agmatine Sulfate is a non-psychoactive, neuroprotective NMDA-Antagonist which is derived from the amino acid Arginine. It is not readily found in stores like GNC, but it can be found off of amazon and many other sites. Usually, one month's worth of the supplement costs around $30. There is significant amounts of real, peer-reviewed literature supporting its ability to rapidly diminish and reverse opioid and amphetamine tolerance in even the most tolerant individuals. I started taking it right when I got on Suboxone (which I take for off-label allieviation of the negative symptoms of Schizoaffective Disorder, not addiction) because I heard how bad of a tolerance it can build. Here is the straight truth: I started Suboxone on 3 mg per day. Two years later, I was still on 3 mg per day and it felt just as effective as Day One. Now, my doctor recently decided to up it to 5 mg per day for the current month, but that is because I am in a dysphoric mixed-state right now and he thinks it will help me not sink into a manic state. So far, it has worked perfectly and I feel myself returning to stability even as we speak. So, trust me (and most people on this forum will vouch that I don't talk bull-shit), get some Agmatine. There are NO side effects at the doses needed for tolerance reduction.
