Fuck axe deodorant and their stupid, degrading commercials that objectify women. I honestly can't believe that a whole generation of young males (broad generalization) is being brainwashed to believe that you can spray some shit on your chest and await the hordes of beautiful vixens that will, inevitably, be crawling to get to you. The whole marketing campaign is horribly objectifying. They make women seem like dumb animals that can be controlled with the smell of the magical axe. I just saw an interesting commercial that involved anarchism. There was a city with rioting, looting, burning, typical media-portrayed anarchist state. As the city was burning, several "anarchist" men sprayed themselves and each one found himself with a beautiful woman leaning onto his chest. Then it cuts to a bunch of helicopters flying toward the city. Thoughts?
i dont think anyone believes they can control women with the smell of axe and also, i hate perfumed deodorants and yes the commercials are stupid
My thought is that some people shouldn't take life so seriously. When I was a kid my grandma used to tell me that I was so cute that I must have to beat the girls away with a stick. The commercial is just taking a relatable cliche and using it to market their product. There's nothing new about it, and it's found everywhere.
Yes, if you are smart enough to see whats past you and not just in front you, you'll realize every commerical is a scam in some way or another to get your dollar. Commercials make fun of both men and women. They use the dying, dead, sick, and disabled to influence insurance and law suits. The tv is filled with sexual things that are way out of hand (like you said about axe). I have tv at my house because others want it. You want to watch tv? Then you pay for it. Im not going in on that shit.
This^ Plus, the old spice commercials are better https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owGykVbfgUE"]Old Spice | The Man Your Man Could Smell Like - YouTube
Axe commercials objectify everyone.. That's kinda the point of them. You don't seem to get the joke. Also, please remove the SpeedStick from your anus.
Them commericials are awesome brah...Pretty clever, i doubt the objective of that commerical was to brainwash but who knows maybe iam just one of those kind of guys. LOL...Fuck yeah to the original poster, sounds like thats been on your chest for awhile, kill them all. lol
I don't think I have seen an axe commercial. Commercials are usually equal opportunity about putting down different types of people. Seems like there was a big run on "stupid father" commercials. (they still have some of these around here) I like commercials that make me laugh but I never remember what product is being sold. As for young males being brainwashed, you are kinda putting down young males as believing commercials hype. I guess I don't know enough young males to know either way. Commercials are made to sell people things. I thought everyone knew that. If there are young males that do believe axe commercials, I guess they will figure it out after trying the product.
I am not criticizing the point of the commercials, which in this case is simply illustrating that women enjoy the smell of axe. What I am criticizing is the extreme lengths these commercials will go to in order to show this. For example, one commercial shows a guy on a beach liberally spraying himself as thousands of women are shown frantically swimming across the ocean, running through the wilderness, etc, to reach him. Obviously, the point of their commercials is to sell axe, but the company has chosen to do that in the most offensive way possible. Some portion of young males has been taught to believe this commercial hype, because otherwise axe wouldn't be as popular as it is. Some people like axe, some people don't. I personally don't like the smell. I can't prove this for any individual guy, but I believe that they have "given up" to axe when they wear it because of social expectations rather than because they genuinely enjoy the smell.
i liked this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RiAvwPaXzJw"]AXE Commercial : Girlfriend - YouTube otherwise, the axe commercials don't shock me, they are only supposed to be cliché... i am more shocked with the commercials that portray obnoxious kids talking back to their parents as "cool cute kids". i dont know about other countries but here there is a new one everyday.
