So the other night I slept in a field, and now I have an extreme amount of bug bites. No exaggeration here.....I've never even seen this many bites on one person. It's driving me fucking crazy. I've been using a cortezone cream but it's not working very well. Anyone know of a super badass medicine I can use?

    Epsom salt bath?

Just be thankful that it's just bug bites and not ticks!
Just thinking about ticks makes me antsy.

    Some suggestions:
Take an anti-histamine if your body has not had problems with them before. (don't operate machinery while under the influence).

I've found one topical anti-itch remedy that works well.
Active ingredients: Pragmoxine HCl 1% and also has Zinc acetone 0.1%

I feel for you! I stayed a few hours next to a river two nights ago, and all my back has big mosquito bites, I have a few others on my shoulders and arms. The usual "home" mosquito bites in the city are normal sized but these are one inch wide.

    Good luck!

Between bugs and rabid attack birds, have you ever had the feeling that Mother Nature just doesn't like you anymore?

Nature loves all her children, but its a tough love. When there there are too many of one type of child, she sends one of her other children to eat them until the numbers are back to normal. The bugs are eating you, but given time (and no interference from us), the birds will eat nature's excess bugs.

I don't know about the bird.....that was just crazy. The bug bites is nature telling me to find a better place to sleep. I left a show and didn't want to drive drunk, so I walked to a nearby park. My dumbass puts a blanket down in knee high grass and passed out. Now I have mosquito bites all over. ALL OVER. My legs are covered. My armpits, arms, hands, back, ass, stomach, forehead....all covered. There's like 4 on my ball sack. This is not a good day for me :)

    Thanks for the suggestions

Hmm. I use that on my dog for her acne. Don't know it works for bug bites.

Yes, it's great for alot of skin problems; fungus, etc. Also, 1 tsp. mixed with 1 cup of water it kills mildew on surfaces.

Down on the Georgia coast, the best way to sleep is in a hammock. Folks who sleep on the ground tend to get wet, stung or bitten. And much of the year you will also need a small rain fly suspended over your hammock with some mosquito netting draped and clipped to your hammock.
Sleeping bags are too hot, even sleeping on top of them. The only way to get a good nights sleep is to be nude in the hammock as long as the bugs can't get you.

I've also heard that deodorant rubbed on bites will stop itching.

I use medical alcohol. It works really well on acne and small mosquito bites. Bigger ones take longer to go away.
