Hey guys, Been looking at nootropics for a while now and today decided I'd order some to try. I am wanting to try them mostly to combat depersonalization and for the cognitive benefits. After reading others experience and research I've decided to try using; GABA + B6 L-tyrosine 5-HTP Aniracetam Choline + inositol Pyritinol and Bacopa Wondering if there's any experienced nootropic users out there who have continued using other substances(THC) / alcohol and what the impact on nootropics, if any? Also any general advice/recommendationsv ery welcome thanks.
I tried using 5-HTP to help with depression and anxiety, but I didn't really notice any effects at all. It seemed to give me a bit of heartburn though, but there is a chance that it was unrelated. Tried it for about a month and then stopped.
GABA works great for anxiety. Gaba and tryptophan right before bed for a week or 2 has worked for me.
Bacopa Moneri ghee works well for me if i use it in moderation. Other then that Gaba + Tryptophan is great for anxiety. Ingesting Calcium bentonite clay has been a great detox. You may want to checkout the Body Ecology diet, probiotics have helped me immensely.

nope I did not get drunk. I just took the Gaba + tryptophan and did some yoga stretching and had a great sleep. You can also look into transdermal magnesium oil therapy for calmness since almost everyone is short on magnesium these days. im currently studying nutrition and im really into supplements. Im currently taking alot of different stuff but im not entirely sure which of them would qualify as nootropics. I take: St. Johns Wort-works as a reuptake inhibitor of serotonin, norepinephrine, dopamine, GABA, and glutamate. SAMe Ginko Biloba 5-htp Magnesium Taurate - best form of magnesium ive found so far GABA but i dont take it on a regular basis like the ones listed above. I also take vitamin D which ive heard is supposed to help with mood. oh also sometimes i take valerian for sleep-whole foods brand works the best IME
Im still waiting on mine to arrive, how long have you been taking them and how are you finding it so far? Do you smoke or drink at all? Im just wondering the aftermath of the two whilst on nootropics
Hey guys been on nootropics now for nearly 2 months and reviving this thread to let you all know how it's going. So I have been taking; GABA + B6, Once daily in mornings L-tyrosine, 3x 5-HTP, 1x before bed Aniracetam, 3x Choline + inositol, 3x Pyritinol, 3x Brahmi, 2x Lions Mane, 2x Just all the reccomended doses spread throughtout the day. The same time I began taking nootropics I also stopped smoking weed for over a month and now just have a few socially and the boosts I feel are amazing! Before I began taking them I had depression slumps and sometimes I think what was either anxiety or depersonalization, that vanished pretty quick! After a couple days and feel I will never see that in my life again. My memory is like 100X what it was, but I was smoking a lot of weed, everyday and ability to think is awesome, a couple of times ive just had moments were ive been asked questions I actually don't remember the answer too and my mouth has kinda opened itself and spat it out, pretty awesome experience! Social interaction, general well being is all great, inside I feel whole, stimulated and motivated to make the most out of life! I can plan my life easily and very rarely feel unsure about anything. I am planning to continue taking nootropics for a long time, lets say the next 5 years! I'm just a newbie and have done some reading is all and I feel my stack could be improved any advice would be highly appreciated! I've just run out of choline + instinol and have added DMAE to my stack just to trial the effects appeal to me, see how it goes! Also when going to order more choline + instinol I discovered Alpha GPC and shroomsport tech which I'm going to use as well Just based on my personal experience I would very highly reccommend trying nootropics! The cost is relatively low and it is a touch inconvenient taking bulk pills but defffffffffinetley worth it!
Taking GABA pills is useless. Don't waste your money. The substance can't penetrate the blood brain barrier so can't have any effect on anxiety whatsoever.
Also I find it so easy to say no to things I dont need like shit food and drugs, literally no temtation at all. I use to do acid too much there for a bit, like on a random Tuesday there with just 1 friend haven't actually done it again since I've started taking nootropics and I've had a couple urges recently to get on it, but not for the epic fun, awesomeness of but rather for the mental exploration, not to fill any gaps i feel very solid ATM but rather too continue adding if you know what I mean!
