My dog has always been a bit nervous but lately he has been acting really anxious. Whenever he hears a noise on the street he jumps up barking and runs around the house then I let him out, and recently whenever he hears a noise in the house he does that. Last night we were up really late with him because he couldn't stop panting, it wasn't excessivley hot out and he is a bit overweight but I was thinking that he was having some sort of panic attack or something. He constantly needs to be pet and have someone with him or he becomes very upset. I have one other dog and several cats, I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it. & this past weekend we went away and had some friends watch after the animals, we do this regularly and have never had a problem but our friends said that he was really upset, not eating or sleeping and I'm not sure what to do. We go on vacations regularly and I wouldn't want this to be a problem. Do any of you have similar happenings with your pets? What could I do to help calm him down? I've got some natural pet tranquilizer I was thinking of giving him but I'd like to hear what anyone else has done about this problem. thank you, Jade.
