Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and last night I had a very strange dream. I decided to tell my boyfriend about it and he said that it was very f***ed up. I have messed up dreams all the time but I don't really think about them all that much. Anyway, some brief background information: I am 21 (female), I live in a cute apartment with the love of my life (dating for 8 months), I work full time in an office job and my immediate family lives far away from me. Also, for the below dream, I had watched no TV similar to this or exerienced anything like it the previous day. Here's the dream: Ok, so it started off as me overlooking a conversation between a bunch of people. They all appeared be men besides one pregnant lady with cold, lazy looking eyes. I had noticed that this lady's shirt was lifted up a little bit and one of the men points to her and says in a panic "she sold her kidneys for drugs!". The lady looks at him blankly with her droopy eyes and lifts her shirt up a little more. There were incisions where the "kidneys" had been removed, blood all over her belly and she slowly started walking away all drugged up with blood dripping down her legs. **shivers** it was so messed up and I was really freaked out when I woke up from that one. If someone could give me some insight on what this could possibly mean, I would really appreciate it! The rest of the dreams consisted of giant spiders attacking people.
I honestly believe that the way you feel when you wake up from a dream tells much about how you should interpret it. How do you feel about this pregnant woman? Do you feel sorry for her? Do you look down on her? Does she remind you of anyone you know or have known? Sometimes these dreams are a warning about people and behaviour to avoid. Sometimes they are a way of preparing us for what we might see or hear about in the future.
In my experience pregnancies and babies in dreams represent "life projects", big changes in life like moving, carreer change and such. Moving in with your bf far from your family may have you feeling that you have lost parts of your personality, like the pregnant woman has lost her kidneys. She appeared drugged, and love is the ultimate hard drug! You may need to find a way to be more yourself in the relationship rather than "only" being half of something wonderful. There should be more to you than going to work and being in love with your bf. Try to make some mental space for your own self in your daily life.
Thank-you both for your replies! I really appreciate it. SageDreamer: I felt really sorry and really scared for her. I couldn't believe someone would throw away their life, and the life of another for drugs. It was a very emotional dream and the main emotion I was feeling was sadness. She does not remind me of anyone I know... I don't do harmful drugs like that and I don't hang out with anyone who does either. Ratio: Your reply was very helpful. I haven't given my life a good glance like that...
