theres this beautiful woman in that area named nature who will "do" locks for free. Just stop brushing or combing your hair. Wash it once a week or so, locks will follow in a few months depending on length and hair texture. If you want to help your hair along get a few friends/ family members to backcomb it, either way you cant go wrong. I would strongly recommend no rubberbands or wax. Wax hinders the locking process and traps dirt in your hair, rubberbands turn to goo that you can't remove if you forget to take them out after a week or so.

Im looking for someone to dread my hair. i saw that you made this post about being near Binghamton and knowing how to backcomb a while ago and was wondering if you are still in the area and able to help me out.
I mean no offence here... You know that the only thing that can dread your hair is time, right? The only thing someone can help you with is start them out by backcombing or twist&rip etc.
