if I was to rate music from 1 to 10, pink floyd would get -6 points for the music -3 points for rythms -8 points for lyrics
Music theory is necessary for classical music. A lot of modern musicians don't know shit about theory. Hendrix didn't know theory but I guess since its absolutely neccessary, he's just worthless as a musician.
if he didn't know theory he wouldn't have been able to have written the songs he had. it doesn't matter to what convention he learnt it he still knew theory.
saying pink floyd is the best band ever is like saying that babe ruth was the greatest baseball player ever. sure, they were both good... but a lot has happened since they were in their prime. i mean, if you really can't think of a single band that is 'better' than pink floyd, you must have a very limited knowledge of music. here's some i can think of: toubab krewe talking heads phish medeski martin and wood galactic those are just a few. the thing is... this is all subjective.
"psycho poster qu'est-ce que c'est phish are fa-fa-fa-fa-fa-fa-fa-fa-fa-far better rep rep rep rep rep rep rep away"

This was a tribute to Syd following his death this year... Roger could not do this. I love Roger dont get me wrong. but the mans heart seems a little cold...
Lmao. Subjective indeed. Maybe if you didn't throw phish in there: ) Like I said I'm not a die hard pf fan...apparently I'm a poser because I don't like the early stuff...I just think they have one of the most expansive unique sounds in modern rock history and for that I give them much props....many many more props than phish sticks
