Is the any good rap that isn't about being gangster?

I'm looking for some literate rap (if it exists.. I don't know why it wouldn't), maybe with some poetic lyrics. Extra points if it's about reality/world affairs/consciousness/existence. I'm not honestly sure if what I have in mind exists. (though it seems like by now, everything should exist)

Look up some old school hip-hop, which is more about the lifestyle. Crate diggin', Turntablism, Graffiti. Look up some K.M.D or Quasimoto or something.

I like the stuff by these guys because it has a lot of substance in the lyrics, which is sometimes serious and sometimes humourus.

 

You could check out Jurassic Five.Also Mos Def is very literate and musical,although occasionally a bit gangsterish.
