Ok, so I have developed a crush on my neighbor, and I'm very certain that she has one on me as well. She seems chemically balanced and carries herself with class. Which is very appealing to me. She seems to make it a point to be outside at the same time as me. And she stares when she thinks I'm not aware, but when our eyes meet she seems very shy. I'm also kind of shy with women. Because usually I'm being approached so, making the first move isn't something I've had much practice with. That being said, I would like to get to know her. But for the last eleven months I've lived here and not one word exchanged between us, which I know is strange. My question is how do I approach her for a conversation after so long of being anti-social, lol. Also, I've been celibate for almost a year now, and haven't dated in that time. Mainly, due to a serious injury from a car accident. I also wanted a break from relationships, so that was the perfect excuse. I'll be going back to school/work in mid August, since I'm pretty much healed and not in constant pain anymore. And I've gotten over my serious fear of driving. I just hope she doesn't think I'm a flake or lazy, people always seem to assume the worst things. All relevant advice is graciously appreciated. Thanks for reading. :afro:
Hmm... I've always been shy too, and never really told a girl that I liked her, and ultimately missed out on the chance of being with her. Also, I've always have had girls tell me that they liked me too. Perhaps you should just break the ice, and ask a simple question like "hey, how's it going?", or whatever. Basically, what you're trying to do is strike up a conversation with her, which I know can be hard, since you said you are a bit shy when it comes to women. That's all I can think of for now. You at least need to start talking to her, before you confess anything to her, or else you might scare her a bit. Though, she might have an interest in you, judging by what you said about her behavior towards you. She probably wants to talk to you too, but is too shy to say anything. She probably wants you to approach her with anything really. So just asking "Hey, how's it going?" wouldn't be too strange to ask
have you tried "Hi?" invite her to dinner, make something real good, get a movie, simple shit, the possibilites are endless. worst case scenario, she says no and you find yourself an 18 year old black girl on craigslist to mash boxes with =) good luck! (I have gender issues)
