I havent heard much of anything from this band so I cant make a judgement myself, but i know people who say they're a jamband.
They are Jazz but are also in the jamband group. Theres many that come under that heading, Bela Fleck, Stever Kimock, John Scofield, Carl Denson...shit, its an huge list. Thats not even the tip of the iceberg. Theres alot of different genres that come under jamband, rock, reggae, pschedelic bluegrass or new grass...I'm sure theres more, but thas as far as my brain will stretch atm.
they are jazz...and they are a jam band. seeing as "jam band" isn't really a genre of music persay, it makes sense. plus, you can be two things..
Has anybody heard their side projects? The Word - Amazing! Wood Brothers - Pretty cool Billy Martin/Will Blades Duo - EPIC! I highly suggest checking them out. Billy's duo is pretty new but I saw them recently and they blew my mind.
