Why weed and other stuff alike are not allowed in almost all the countries in the world while alcohol is allowed? This question came into my mind when I visited dubai and found people so curious about weed over there.
Money. Weed works for many things that produce a great deal of money like medicine and timber. Since anyone can grow their own weed it is difficult for big corporations and governments in turn to make any money from it, and it reduces the amount of money made from medicine and timber. Not to mention the fact that it allows people to see how they're being fucked by these same two parties.
I really hate that argument. I see it way too often. Do you really need weed to see that? Since when does weed = automatic high about government and politics? I know I don't waste my precious high time mulling about that ish.
Would you not agree that weed helps to open your mind/change your perspective on things. If nothing else smoking weed allows you to see how silly the laws against it are and realize that the goverment doesn't necessarily have your best interest in mind. Not that this is an inherent quality of weed, but one created by the laws themselves. I do think that weed is helpful in opening peoples eyes to oppression that they may have been complacent to previously
I've never understood why the government just doesn't allow it and tax it. $$$$ Ching Ching Ching. It's like they lose more money trying to ban it but could make an enormous profit if they'd get their head out of their ass.
Actually, no... They make money keeping all those DEA agents, police, the court system, and the prison system paid. We pay all those guys out of taxes and fines... That is a huge sum of money they get by keeping it illegal. Not to mention how much the CIA gets for "smuggling" drugs into this country.
It's difficult to tax something that people can easily produce and harvest in their own homes and backyards. I agree with you wholeheartedly, and they would make a great deal of money taxing the sale to those people who don't want to bother with growing their own, but there would also be a reduction in profits for pharmaceutical companies and such. Companies who have a lot of influence in the government.
I think weed or not it becomes apparent that corruption exists and those in power do everything they can do, behind the scenes or not to stay in power and it's a tough system. But this is like saying "The Sun is bright." Weed totally opens your mind/changes your perspective during the duration of the high. I personally spend that time thinking of more tangible things and my immediate environment, or reflecting on my life. Government and politics...that's a whooole 'nother topic.
Well that's your preference. The ability to open a persons mind is dangerous to an establishment which is trying to perpetuate the kind of thinking that is to its own benefit.
Today's top story.. DEA agents raid huge cocaine operation in Bolivia.. and in other news... local authorities try to crack down on a recent crack cocaine boom in the suburbs Said drug will cure you of disease... said drug is now not good for you.. have you died? your family can sue! family makes little money.. special interest lawyers make bank of the % they take from your case.. leftovers is maybe enough to cover the bills you've amassed over the years of helping with your past loved one.. you see.. it's all circular with exponential outcomes for the assholes.. why would they ever want to fuck that up?
