Generalizations like this are absolutely useless and plain wrong. You may as well be saying that all black people are stupid. Stereotyping is stupid. People who stereotype are fucking stupid. This shit really gets on my nerves.
But the thing is your verdict is based on too small a sampling. You do not in fact know the greater majority of today's generation. You are young and live in a smallish city. Your opinions in this instance reduce the amount of time available to enjoy your circumstances and perhaps even reduce the chance that you might be acceptable to the "smart" that you think you seek.
Uhh what? I've been all around the country. NY, OK, TX, ID, OR, CA, UT, FL... I can't seem to detect any difference except for a few minor ones.
You are stereotyping. You do not know the majority of todays generation well enough to generalize anything about them accurately. I guarantee that. You cannot make an accurate judgement about a group of people based on a small portion that youve come into contact with. I can assure you that all teenagers are not stupid. Perpetuating this kind of thinking serves only as a detriment to the entire human condition.
A good amount of people are like this, if you take a look at the majority of facebook... dear god. I hate it, i am part of this generation and the majority is THIS, the other 49% are cool
Did I say ALL of them were stupid? No. I said the greater majority of them are. And It's my observation, from being to so many places, I have yet to find an intelligent girl.
You are wrong for saying that. There are millions of people in the group you're speaking about. For you to think that you are well acquainted enough with enough of these people to make this judgement, or any judgement about them, is plain wrong, insulting, and stupid. An accurate statement would be "of the teenage girls that ive come into contact with the majority of them seem stupid to me." To say that the majority is stupid is to stereotype them.
And you can say that with confidence because you know the exact number of people I have met in my life. Oh wait, you don't.
I know it is physically impossible for you to meet the majority. Not enough time, not enough space. I also know the difference between acting cool, and being cool.
I say it with confidence because i don't believe that its possible in 18 years of life to get to know millions of people well enough to judge their individual levels if intelligence accurately. Would you disagree with that statement? Have you gotten to know millions of teenage girls very well? I say very well because to accurately judge a person's intelligence you must have much more insight into their mind than can be gained from observing their texting and Facebook post habits. Have you considered the possibility that you're making a judgement based upon what has become a very common dialect among this generation? Each generation has its own dialect and slang. This one is simply influenced by the desire to shorten messages in a group of people who communicate largely by means of text.
I really can't say anything because you haven't met the people I've met. They're all a bunch of sheep.
Sheep (Ovis aries) are quadrupedal, ruminant mammals typically kept as livestock. People, homo sapiens, are bipedal omnivorous mammals that sometimes keep live stock. I think you are confused.
I definitely feel you on this, Peace4All. That's why I still haven't dated. It's a shame. I wanna meet some groovy girls in life who are just comfortable being themselves, you know? Their true selves. Someone with a kind heart and soul, but an open mind as well, and sharing the same interests. It's also a struggle to not judge others, and yet calling out the reality we see today.
I know exactly what you mean. People are too afraid to show their true self. But I can't blame them, there's alot of judgmental freaks out there.
