Need help separating DXM Polistirex

I've read about seperating the DXM Polistirex from Delsym syrup but my situation is a bit different. I have a bottle of 2 Parts Delsym that I accidentally mixed with 1 part Hydrocodone syrup. The goal is to remove as much of the DXM as possible as I'm looking for a hydrocodone high not a DXM high. I put the syrup of 2 parts Delsym to 1 part Lortab (about 180 ML total, approx 60mg Hydrocodone and 300mg DXM Poli) into a 2 liter and filled it 3/4 of the way with water as the instructions said. I shook it vigorously and let it sit overnight. Upon returning home from class today and after leaving it to sit undisturbed for more than 12 hours, there is no particulate matter at the bottom. The goal with to cut the bottle and save the liquid (Which hopefully would contain the Hydrocodone without most of the DXM). I figured that this method would work but am highly disappointed. Is there anything I can do from here to remove some or all of the DXM Poli. from the solution? I haven't particularly enjoyed DXM in the handful of times I have taken it. If nothing else I will chug it as is and get a High Plat 1 or Low Plat 2 along with hopefully a decent opiate buzz and plenty of liver damage from the almost maximum dose of APAP.
