    More like a random question,

Is time real, or is it just a system created by man?

This may be a silly question to you, but do please explain to me what time really is.

Time exists in the same sense that length, width, and depth exist. It is a dimension. It's measure is man made and reliant on the fact that humans can only experience time linearly. Time's linearity is a confusing subject, being that we can only perceive it in one way, but a being which exists in a higher dimension would perceive it in the same way that we perceive length, width, or depth.

It's a measurement. Like mass is a measurement. An object's mass is relative to other factors. Time works the same way in regards to being relative.

You have all the time there is and all that occurs, occurs now, or not at all. The past and the future are constructs of mental continuity. Memory is living tissue. We grow both space and time as mental extension.

The time it takes to do something, is the same time it takes not to do it.

Probably not specifically answering the question but time is of the essence.

Measurement of time is a rigid structure that is man made.

The forth dimension, "time", is fluid, meaning it changes depending on who is observing it and how it is being observed. This aspect is not man made.

How do you like the question is time space?

And time does exist, what is it, well thats a whole different question, nobody will ever be able to answer it is my guess, the best part about it is if you get pissed off you can throw stuff at it LOL

I think the concept of time came about as man observed cyclical patterns in nature and in the stars.

Are we the only creatures on earth that use "time", I understand that animals do also live by the sun and or moon, does that mean they use time also? And why are we so obbsessed with time?

Depends, what is the answer? I could not see time being space, because space is always 'now', right? Does time not imply that there is a past and future?

Structure our lives to what? All we need to know is were alive, we need to eat, sleep, and hit the john every now and then. Why would we want to get time involved in any of this? Would just cause problems if you ask me.

i suppose it depends on what you mean by "use time." animals also take time to do things, but they don't have clocks or anything.

there's a limited amount and you have to spend some of it on everything you do.

it's also essential in coordinating with other people.

While animals are not aware of timepieces they are aware of time. Look at any domesticated animal that is used to eating or playing at a certain time of the day. If that eating/playing schedule is changed they will let you know it. I have always had either a dog or cat and both know what time is feeding time. I currently have two cats that my girlfriend feeds once in the morning about 6 and again when she comes home at 5. Both of the cats will start milling around in the kitchen at both those times waiting for their food and get pretty peeved if their food is late for whatever reason. One cat will actually go and wake us at 6 am if we are not awake yet.
