My girlfriend and I have been using only the pull out method for the past month, and I was wondering if there were any other non-invasive forms of BC that we can practice to reduce our chances of an unwanted pregnancy.

I always urinate before sex to "clear my tubes" and I am very reliable when pulling out. I'm completely numb when wearing a condom (like, legitimately can't feel a thing) and I tend to break them on average once per session, leading to having to use 2-3 condoms per screw and spilling pre cum in her anyway. It's not an issue of her "drying up" either. I gave up on condoms when one broke right when I was cumming and I had to purchase a $60 Plan B. They say that perfect use of the pull out method is 96% effective compared to condom's 98% anyway.

What other natural, non-hormone options do we have? I've read about cycle timing, but I don't quite understand how she would find out since I heard that many women don't actually ovulate when they are supposed to.

Sorry, but I don't believe you about condoms always breaking. I've tried to break them with a fingernail (out of curiousity) and I couldn't get it to break. Is there a particular reason your gf doesn't want to use the pill?

    Anywho...

-Sit your balls in hot bath water for a few min before hand (kills off some sperm)

    -Diaphragm/cervical cap

    -Spermicide jelly

-Ovulation awareness: Everyone ovulates exactly 14 days before the start of the next period (called the "luteal phase" of the ovarian cycle). The time from the first day of your period to when you ovulate next (your "follicular phase")is what's variable, but it's usually 14 days.

One way to find out for sure is an ovulation test. They're kind of expensive, but you can get them w/o a prescription at the drug store, and once she knows the day she ovulates, she can calculate from there on when it would be every month (this is assuming she's regular)

If you don't want to buy an ovulation test, she can also take her temperature when she wakes up every morning before she eats or brushes her teeth, and record it for a month. Your temp will be a little bit higher when she's ovulating.

Just remember, you'd have to abstain from sex (or use the pull-out method 100% consistently) several days before and after ovulation, as the egg has a good chance of being fertilized for a few days after ovulation and sperm can live for 72 hrs or more. And, while some women ovulate more than once in a cycle, it's pretty rare. A more common problem is that women can be slightly or even very irregular, which makes this method difficult.

And remember: there's always oral!! :D

Also, make sure you both get tested for STDs. Be safe and have fun!

Idk how I do it so often. The tip stretches around the head of my penis and eventually gives way.

I've used anal sex and the pull out method for 12 years now. I've only been pregnant once and that's when he came in me.

Have you ever tried using female condoms? I guarantee you wouldn't have the breaking or numbness issues with those.
